Hey folks, call me Aphrodite. I’m a polyamorous queer woman and I use she/her. I reblog jokes I think are funny, posts that have cats in them, fandom and gaming stuff.

Some things I’m interested in are writing, media analysis, and anarchocommunism.

Fandoms I blog a lot about include: Umineko When They Cry, The Locked Tomb, Disco Elysium, Homestuck, and Revolutionary Girl Utena (But I have a main blog for that last one (this is technically a side blog))

Games I blog a lot about include: Magic The Gathering, Nine Sols and Dark Souls

I tag death, violence, transphobia and unreality. They will just be tagged as those words. If youd like me to tag other topics feel free to ask! :)

I will unfollow you if you post untagged suicide mentions (kys, kms, etc.), gore, or graphic depictions/descriptions of violence. These things really stress me out, and so I just like to keep it off my dash.

I'm at a convention for the game of Go with a friend who is almost 84 years old, and he is constantly being accosted by elementary schoolers who want to play him because every year there is a prize for whoever plays a game with the biggest age difference between players.

So every time I go to look for him, I see this:

I think its about the machismo and mythology of it all? Like theyre pretending to be boxing and even if their fans arent fans of boxing, boxing signifies something to a jake paul fan, I guess. Im not disputing that its stupid and means nothing though.

Like, the show portrays extremely overtly how sexually exploitative Ragyo is of her daughters, even going so far as to include rape scenes. It distracts from. How creepy it is. That Matoi Isshin created a combat uniforms for both his daughters (who were still an infants when their respective kamuis were made, btw). That, when worn, transform into fetish gear.

I don't care about the rationalisations the show gives about "minimising the amount of skin in contact with the life fibres". Not only clothing Riyuko in that uniform, but going so far as to splice very her DNA into it, is creepy and exploitative to the extreme!

And let's not forget how he is the one to introduce Satsuki to her "wedding dress", thus setting her up for a lifetime of sexual assault at the hands of her mother.

At best, Matoi Isshin fascilitated the sexual abuse that his daughters face in the series. At worst, he actively took part in it.
