Axl wasn’t exactly a party animal, he actually had only been to a handful of parties like this. He was more along the lines of staying home and gaming the night away, but here he was at a high school party because Aimee had insisted that he needed to stop being a loser and live a little. Her words, he firmly stated that staying home to play the new Black Ops was a total win for anyone and everyone. It hadn’t taken all that long at being in the party that the drinking began, though it had been more of Aimee shoving drinks into his hand and him sipping at them slowly, trying to keep pace.
He was just making his way towards the drinks table to get the umpteenth round for himself and Aimee, rolling his eyes at his bossy red-headed friend as he went when he rammed right into another person with a flash of red hair. Axl let out a little squawk when he felt cold liquid pour onto him and soak his shirt, seeping in deeper and lower. “Cold! Cold! Cold!” he said, flailing a little and pulling his shirt away from his skin where it had stuck close. He looked down to assess the damage and sighed a little, it was just his luck to have something like this happen, looking back up when he heard a familiar voice. “Oh. It’s- It’s fine, s’not like you meant to, right?” he asked, laughing lightly, though he was feeling a little uncomfortably cold and sticky already.
SHE COULD FEEL her cheeks redden a bit -- whether it be from the heat radiating off the countless bodies in the room moving to the beat of the music, or the twinge of EMBARRASSMENT gained from pouring half a drink on someone whose previous interaction with her was a kiss. ( initiated by her, respectively. ) ‘ what -- this isn’t the PROPER way to greet someone? by spilling your drink on them? ‘ she quipped, saccharine lips lifting to a small grin. a circle of chuckles rose in her throat, as she brought her free hand to her mouth as if to quiet them. ‘ COME ON -- i’ll take you to the bathroom and help you clean up. ‘ her gaze softened, eyebrows raised. ‘ it’s the least i could do -- ‘
taking her own hand in his, she left her cup on the table beside them and led him through a sea of people up the stairs. much to her dismay, of COURSE the door was locked. she knocked on the door a few times, yelled a stern “HURRY UP” in the hopes that whoever it was was almost done. beneath her heels, she could feel the RUMBLE of the vibrations of whatever was playing below, along with some indistinct yelling. after a few moments, a few girls evacuated the bathroom, and she pulled him inside, shutting the door behind them. ‘ i hope you don’t mind smelling like a BAR for the rest of the night ---- if it helps, i don’t think anyone will notice, ‘ her words turned more audible as she pulled a few tissues out of the box sitting on top of the vanity. running it under warm water, she added a few pumps of soap, and then handed it to him to dab off himself. ‘ you know, i used to hang out with the guy who’s throwing the party. maybe he wouldn’t mind if you BORROWED a shirt for the night. ‘
