My First Contact

so i’ve been dancing around actually following hellenistic paganism/polytheism for quite some time now. the majority of my friends are hellenistic and have been talking to me about it. since i’m already a witch, i decided to use magic and asked my pendulum about deities. i trust my pendulum fully and has not lied to me yet so when it said yes about the existence of greek gods, i decided to ask around and look into it.

looking back, there had been signs of aphrodite around me. whenever my life felt like it was falling apart, i would see rabbit randomly. she first started showing me her signs when i first started dabbling in magic.

Talking To Her

so the first thing i did was build her an altar. i’ve been looking at hellenistic tumblr for a bit and i remembered someone posting about giving her tea. so after i built the altar, i made tea as an offering and lit some insence and sat in front of the altar. contact was almost immediate and i could really feel when she came to me. i don’t know how to describe it but my mood had instantly changed. typically i’m indifferent, upset, discontent, but when i felt her come to me that changed completely. i felt excited, happy, energetic, and a little extra loving. it was intense and so different from anything i had felt before.

i tried to talk to her after feeling her but i was struggling. i asked if i could use my pendulum since it’s my highly charged magical item and i could just tell that she was willing to work with me. I talked to her like that for a little less than an hour and she answered so many of my questions. and if i asked a question she couldn’t answer on the pendulum i just felt the answer come to me. she was so kind and said she was willing to work with me until i can talk to her without the pendulum.

when i went to sleep, she came to me in my dreams, calming my worries. she told me i can worship how i feel necessary as long as i dedicate the 4th and one other day in the month to her. she also told me to dedicate my art to her whenever i have an extreme surge of inspiration. she slowly faded from my dream after our talk and i did not dream for the rest of the night and felt well rested when i woke up despite going to bed at 1am.

i finally finished one commission, more to come later. this one was really fun for me to do because ever since season two when allura talked about the balls that were held in the castle ive always wanted to draw her in a ballgown

i decided to do a redraw of something I drew a couple years ago. minus the really cap hair, i like the improvement. it's jason haley from the dragon's heir and it's  apart of a super underrated book series

Okay okay so i love voltron so i drew Lance as some weird blue alien. I thought it would be cool if he was a street rat/theif that steals food and other thingsnto support his sisters
