i have also made this animatic for Grit's campaign and finally put it up on youtube! this was my first time both making an animatic like this AND using procreate dreams, so i'm really proud of how it all came together

there's also some speedpaints up on the channel, and i intend to upload some more (both speedpaints and animatics), so check it out!

acquit's campaign finally ended after three years, but not before we got to infiltrate a masquerade ball and i got to design fancy clothes for him and his boyfriend!

they were also disguised as an elf and a tiefling respectively AND i rolled a nat20 on my performance check to dance :p

why do i keep seeing whole videos on advice for artfight from “veterans” or whatever. here’s all the advice you need:

you don’t need to draw every day

you don’t need to fully render every drawing, sketches still count and the person receiving it will still love it

you don’t need a fully polished ref sheet for every single character, having a basic one or even just a colour palette along with whatever other art you’ve done works fine in most cases

you don’t need to draw a fully rendered piece every single day do not burn yourself out or injure yourself for funny little internet points good lord

the amount of people who have reblogged this and said it’s comforting/reassuring is kinda scary like hello how hard were you planning on pushing yourselves… it’s just a fun little art game you are drawing things for other people for free it’s chill

also some additional points from the notes:

if you’re not having fun, it may be time to take a break or just write the rest of the month off

Acquit's party is going to be infiltrating a masquerade party next session (tomorrow, actually) and i've been struggling trying to design proper masks and outfits for him and his boyfriend, but i think i'm finally at a point where i'm satisfied. Acquit is dressed as a dragon, with silver accents because of his ties to a specific silver dragon in his past, and Elhark is dressed as a unicorn, his fey warlock patron

I also want to draw them dancing in their disguises as well, but idk if i'll be able to finish that before the session tomorrow :')
