Apiary Initiative Herb-Infused Goat Cheese is one of the healthiest dairy products available on the current galactic market!
Galactic environmentalist efforts are very important to us here at The Apiary Initiative, which is why we're happy to announce an open, free course on our primary Omninet page on converting desert environments into healthy forests and farmland based on Cradle's ecological makeup.
We will not be accepting feedback from any far-field teams about this plan at this time.
Galactic environmentalist efforts are very important to us here at The Apiary Initiative, which is why we're happy to announce an open, free course on our primary Omninet page on converting desert environments into healthy forests and farmland based on Cradle's ecological makeup.
As a part of The Apiary Initiative's efforts to reclaim damaged land, we find ourselves often stumbling into a bit of quasi-archaeological work, and we are now happy to announce the discovery of the remains of a Thoreau-class ship that helped to build the original Pomorum colonies!
Likely used for transportation and emergency aid, we have a digital recreation here of what the ship would have likely looked like in it's heyday.
As we go about salvaging what we can from the ship, we hope to find any black boxes or onboard computing systems that we can, as the opportunity to learn from the past is one of our greatest gifts.
Always remember, no matter how bad things may be, there's always hope for improvement! If the people of Pomorum who survived a full lunar bombardment in bunkers can emerge to make their world into such a wonderful stretch of endless verdant green, then just imagine what you can accomplish!
Despite the circumstances of our little project forcing us to exist as a corpo-state, The Apiary Initiative is strongly committed to maintaining Union's Utopian Pillars for everyone working in our central holdings, so remember, when you buy from us, you're not just shopping healthy, you're shopping ethically.

Here at the Apiary Initiative, we're hard at work on living in harmony with our environment. We do this by nurturing the harsh, unlivable desert sections of Pomorum so that they might become the rich farmland they were always meant to be!
< …well. I’m far from an expert on agriculture, but—to the right kind of life, deserts are livable enough. Are you certain there’s nothing living there? >
There are a handful of common local creatures, and we of course make sure to humanely relocate them every time we improve their environments.

It is with a heavy heart that I must announce one of the first major losses from our raider problem.
Bonnie was a descendant of one of the original cow embryos we were able to grow viable livestock from, and a very sweet friend to many of her fellow cattle, as well as being beloved by our farm staff.
Last night, when one of the raider parties got aggressive enough to escalate from threats to opening fire, she perished along with several human employees, leaving our community here heartbroken.
Now, more than ever, it is of crucial importance that we recieve help from sympathetic security forces in dealing with this problem to prevent any more tragic losses like this one 💔.

Well, our first priority is of course the protection of our precious reclaimed farmland and the people and animals living there. While we at the Apiary Initiative do not generally condone violence, we understand if the job ends up calling for lethal force in the field.
The Apiary Initiative is a place that is, first and foremost, blessed to exist in the footsteps of people with forethought. When our people finally emerged from the age of containment, it was their predecessor's decision to hold on to seed vaults, terraforming equipment and even livestock embryos that ensured that the world they entered was not simply a barren, hostile alien waste, but a welcoming canvas to be painted in a verdant green preserved from Cradle itself.
Now we seek to share that blessing with the rest of the galaxy with the guarantee that the foods we sell are all grown from that initial seed, that when you buy from us, you buy the kinds of things humans are meant to eat.
@paws-akimbo And you can have a taste of it from all retailers where Apiary Initiative products are sold!
Do you sell scorpion
I am afraid we do not, our focus is more on creating a safe environment for the... gentler creatures we raise. Scorpions are a bit of a hazard to them and are better suited to the more arid environments that we can't really cultivate too effectively.
:( next you're gonna tell me you consider spiders food
Nothing of the sort! We don't really have much of a spider population here on Pomorum, though the local deserts have got a small arachnid population that we've unfortunately been forced to push back from our hives.
We are quite greatful to hear about the outpouring of support for our situation here from different highly qualified pilots. Given the higher-than-average amount of options available, we will actually be able to break things down into a trio of missions, and assign our first few groups accordingly.
We'll be tasking one team with simple defensive measures, this is perhaps the least exciting job, but it is of critical importance that we keep one squadron available to defend the borders of our project while we are still under threat. This team can expect stable pay, and a more relaxed experience on our central campus until the event that another raid occurs, in which case rapid response will be expected.
Our second job is one that the ongoing situation has made... rather difficult for our people to carry out, but that we would still like to accomplish if possible. In the ruins of the city of New Atheron, there exists an abandoned GMS Research facility that was doing some work on an offshoot of the Ebigane research program. Within that facility is an NHP that I once regarded as my brother... though he has found himself in such a terribly fragmented state. I would like to ask that a team of pilots venture out and recover his casket, as well as some scans of the armored frame he currently resides within, so that he may be brought home and returned to his senses.
Our third task is, as unfortunate as this necessity may be, to go on the offensive and seek out the base of these raiders. My scans indicate a lack of atmospheric entries, meaning that they must be fielding their chassis on-world. If this location can be found and scouted out, we should have the tools to handle things through soft power and diplomacy, or to call in backup if that fails.
Now, these final two jobs are of a bit of a looser nature than our standard security contract, so we'll be arranging for full payment to go to whichever teams can complete them first and bring us back the results. We also ask that these teams not get into any direct conflict with eachother out in the badlands, where I'm afraid I'll be unable to monitor the situation.
It is with a heavy heart that I must announce one of the first major losses from our raider problem.

(A video feed of a butch with a tan complexion and a dark undercut tied in a bun finds its way over comms. They are sitting in a cargo bay leaning on one knee, dressed in possibly the heaviest hardsuit you've ever seen. They wave at the camera.)
> Heya. This is Callsign Keelhaul, acting captain of the THS Droptank. High Command sent your offer down the chain an-
(Another figure moves into frame: a subaltern. She has a feminine appearance, along with metalic cat ears and a wire tail. The animated face plate wears a cartoony, bashful expression as xey rub one of xeir arms nervously. Keelhaul looks over.)
> Yeah?
(The subaltern speaks next in a perfect mimicry of Ilfrith's voice.)
> "My name is Ilfrith."
> "-would be able to reach you in two standard days time."
(Keelhaul's eye twitches.)
> Two days? TWO FUCKING DAYS? BULLSHIT!! HOW???
(The subaltern shrugs. Keelhaul rubs the bridge of her nose.)
> Son of a BITCH. Fine. Change course to our previous route, we can't beat that. God dammit...
(This time xey mirror Keelhaul's own voice.)
> Change course
(The subaltern waves over her shoulder and wanders out of frame. Keelhaul reaches towards the camera, and the transmission ends.)
- Callsigns > Keelhaul & > Parrot -
Happy to see people taking initiative, it would seem that our humble job has turned into something of a gold rush, but this may present us with an opportunity. Will begin organizing some expanded roles for applying mercenaries soon.
[This is a transmission to client APIARY with regards to their call for "qualified mercenaries."] My name is Ilfrith. My qualifications are associated with account "monist-4", and should be found with relative ease. They are not however, particularly relevant to this exchange, as the world they belong to is an unknown unknown to your societies. Anything appended to my name is likely meaningless to you, beyond the fact that I am someone who holds titles to begin with, I suppose. I will come as I am. I will send proof of competence upon request, and would be able to reach you in two standard days time. I am a warrior and a pilot, in the tradition of great Tzipora. Lancer, Cavalier, Ofanim- whatever term you like, that is the thing. That is the pulse. That is what I do.
Well I'm afraid I don't know what a lot of that is, but I'm happy to hear that you're open to helping. Two days is quite an impressive travel time to get here, and if you're the first to help complete our jobs, then we can ensure that you're paid over the standard rate.
