The palms of your hands are brought steadily over a helmet, silver, and crowded by the darkness which surrounds you.
Its never felt heavier, a weight upon his shoulders just waiting to be lifted by someone other than himself.
It is smooth and cold against your fingertips, until it isnāt; the pace of your breathing quickened by a building anticipation.
Alerted by the sound of a soft hiss, the warmth of his breath meets the corners of your lips, vulnerable in the way youāve come together for the first time; Din, suddenly not the only one whoās shed a bit of armor.Ā

Youāre not, thereās no time to be, not when heās already given you permission to collapse into his arms, not when heās already holding you this close.
His lips are plush against yours, slow at first in the way they push and pull through all of the tension mounting between two bodies; an energy once cold before, living behind strong walls built from stone and beskar, that which safely guards both of your hearts.Ā
When it all crashes down, all that remains is the space youāve carved from air, fear, lost to the early hours of the night, and a deep urgency just to feel him.Ā
Pulling away only for a moment, he senses your tired eyes within the sea of shadows cast along your cheek, soft in the way they flutter closed against the weathered touch of his thumb.
Unconsciously, your fingertips trace patterns over his features, making all of them out in the passing minutes with your touch.Ā

All is a blur when you finally find his eyes, searching, a deep dark brown accented by a smoldering brow you can only remember from every passing daydream. Youāve seen him all along, even before this moment, and somehow you think he knows.Ā
You memorize the way his voice hums along the nape of your neck, when he buries himself into your shoulder, leaving light kisses in his wake.
Soon all that was once gentle, gets covered up by a pleasurable scratching of rough whiskers living along the edge of his jaw, and you canāt help but lean into them all.
"Everything."Ā
After a long moment of pause, you answer him, almost forgetting that heās even asked you a question.
The simple word escapes from you, breathless in the way it travels back to his lips. Nothing separates you now, no armor, no barriers left; only the careful feeling of his tongue which silently parts the seam of your kiss.
He is your rib when met with at the hip, a flush heat devoid of movement, until the time is right and you fall, faster than you had imagined you would.
A strong embrace is the only thing to catch you against the broadness of his heaving chest; Din, all consuming when he lets go, enveloped by a calm passion.
And so, you give in to him, unafraid that your body has left itās soul, drifting somewhere else, but found again each time between breaths.Ā

Or anyone!!! Honestly, this is so important! Like my husband eg takes long baths to decompress and if he is under a lot of stress, he takes a lot of baths. And just today he asked me if I was starting to get mad at him for leaving me āaloneā so many evenings and I told him that if long baths and Netflix binging every night for the next six months was what he needed to stay sane amidst a pandemic and in lockdown with two little kids during the companyās āend of year marathonā having to be dealt with from home office, then he better fucking do it.
