I am going to have a collection of cameras!  Getting a new camera today, sending my precious world traveler camera out as soon as the post office opens, and saving up for my dream DSLR.  But... I will be able to take pictures again!!!!  It's going to be brilliant.

A Camera Update

Good news!  I should be getting my camera fixed as a birthday present, only I'm a little nervous about packing it up and shipping it to Connecticut. I don't like the idea that it will be so far away... It's been hard these last few weeks having it only work sporadically, and it nearly always turns off at the point when I need the shutter to snap.  

Hopefully this week I'm going to check out a copy place and see if I can get some prints of my paintings on some notecards.  Sounds pretty cool to me. :) And I'll definitely put them up @ Storenvy as soon as I get them (my camera willing.)

Cameras Don't Like Concrete.... :(

My camera hit some concrete last night.  Major, major bummer.  I thought I'd fixed it, but apparently not - I was just going to upload some photographs and write an update when I discovered it didn't want to work today.

Would you all send some good vibes our way?  My camera and I would really appreciate it. <3

Beets! (Bet you didn't see that one comin')

As I've been saying, I've been trying some new things and switchin' it up.  Newest passions = natural dyes, and market bags.  So... After about 20 cups of coffee, a cup of vinegar, a can of beets and a whole lot of water, oh and just a few hours of knitting, I get something that looks like this... (at least in a dye pot)

Now, don't worry - It's just beet juice :P  The bag is still drying, but I'll be sure to  post pics when it's done.  It's a nice dusky rose color.  I plan to play with a variety of fruits and vegetables and fixatives and hopefully might play with some shibori and muslin fabric too.  Got some other pretty things up my sleeve too :)

I'm still here!

Hey Mates! Sorry I've been so incommunicado for the last couple weeks or so.  I've been taking some time to revamp things, and listen to that little voice in my brain that tells me what I need to make me happy. And, it's been telling me to take some time, and make some new things.  

So... While I'm working on these new things. I'm cutting prices on the old things.  And I would very, very much appreciate if you could all help me clear my inventory. :) With every product, everything I make, it will still fall under the Underground Art Manifesto. I stand by that with all my heart. People need to learn that they don't have to be one thing or the other.  People are a  little bit of everything all at once.

 The notebooks, jewelry, and paintings on my site have been sitting in my apartment way too long waiting for homes, and I've had to give them daily pep talks that some day, some day they will get put in a nice comfy envelope and take a trip and wind up in the hands of someone that loves them, but they're beginning to doubt me.  I don't know if you've ever had a pep talk with a blank notebook, but it's rather an interesting experience.

So...  I love you guys. I've had hits from the UK, Ukraine, Singapore, Korea, the USA and Romania, and I appreciate every single one of them. I'm glad you look, and if any of you ever want to comment on something, please, please do!  I understand all about not having cash, about not being able to buy anything, and about how sometimes you just see something so amazing you just have to talk about it. So, if I'm that amazing please let me know. Message or comment me here, or @ Storenvy.  Tell me more of what you would like to see, I can't say how I'll channel my brain, but I'll do my best to include what you detail.
