AU where Dio and Percy went through what Ellie and Joel did in the last of us, under different circumstances—the infection was from Tartarus, gods lost their power, and various demigods and deities replaced the originals from TLOU.
This blog is them, trying their very hardest to survive in horrible conditions. Meanwhile building an unexpected relationship, growing closer and closer as they endure the horrors of their world. Almost…like father and son. ( BIGGER AU EXPLANATION COMING SOON. )
This is my AU and will also include some of my own personal headcanons! Just a heads up.
Names: Dionysus/Mr.D. | Percy Jackson.
Age: When Percy was teleported, he was fourteen in the universe he came from. | Dionysus is just as always, millennia old.
Parentage: Percy—Sally Jackson and Poseidon. But he never actually gets to know his biological father until His mom died the same way Ellie’s mom does. | Dionysus—Zeus and Selene.
Appearance: Percy—slightly longer messy, choppy black hair. sea green eyes, scars, one prominent one across his cheek all the way to the bottom of his eye. Tan skin, one pierced ear, and bitten nails. | Dionysus—long curly black-purple hair, scars, one prominent one across his right temple. Dull purple eyes, calloused hands, tan skin, lichtenberg scars down the back of his neck, shoulders, and backs of his arms.
Some Personality traits: Percy—sassy, on edge, defensive, paranoid, observant, sarcastic, funny, smart. | Dionysus—cold, protective, on edge, suspicious, sassy, sarcastic, aggressive, grumpy.

Percy was acting…odd. To say the least. A couple of days ago, someone spotted Mr.D and Percy Jackson walking around camp. But they looked, and acted, different.
It was only when Chiron finally explained that the two were from a complete different universe that it made sense why. They told their story, and explained the horrifying world they came from. A one where there was an odd, zombie apocalypse. That had come from Tartarus itself, infecting mortals and such.
What had really been the main thought about the situation was—what if one of them were infected? What if they brought this stuff into this universe? The rumors and whispers didn’t stop, even when Chiron tried to reassure people.
It didn’t help that the two were so secretive and distant—to everyone but themselves.
A lot of people were interested to learn about the new versions of their camp director and the son of Poseidon. But the two were VERY different. They seemed suspicious of everyone. 
For whatever reason, you were down by the beach. Maybe fishing, maybe swimming—maybe just walking. When you spotted the two. They were talking amongst themselves. “You realize someone could’ve seen it, right? What do you think would’ve happened then?”
The new Percy huffed, rolling his eyes in annoyance. “Yeah, yeah- I know. I just…wanted to do what normal kids do.” He sighed. Both their heads suddenly turned at the same time, snapping towards you.
There was a healed over bite mark on the younger’s arm. Veins stained black around the spot.
Kat had been aware of the new additions since they popped in from their strange world. She had some empathy for them — after all, it hadn’t been so long ago that she was considered potentially very dangerous — but the way things were, she hadn’t really seen them around much.
She’d been walking on the beach when she spotted them talking, and finally decided to stop beating around the bush. If Percy from this universe had been willing to extend an olive branch to her and the other ex-Army members when he’d lost so much, by the gods, she could do the same under much less extreme circumstances.
But when she went to say hi, perhaps offer to make them some brownies, she was stopped dead by what looked like a healed-over zombie bite.
“Wait!” The two were on their feet in a second, and the odd version of Mr.D—was pointing a gun at her. Percy took a step forward. He hid his arm behind him.
“Please wait. It’s not…I’m…” He blinked, trying to find the words to explain. Shit. He’d already messed this up for them.
Kat’s arms shot into the air and she stumbled back, feet catching on a large rock wedged into the soft sand. She fell hard, barely managing to catch herself with her hands. She didn’t remember what to do if somebody pulled a gun. Talk them down, presumably, but how?
“You really don’t wanna do that,” she managed, trying not to look too hard down the barrel of the gun. If she twisted her mood ring now — and it was the perfect shade of liquid gold — could she unsheathe the sword out before the bullet connected? Probably not, but her options were very limited. She’d just have to talk her way out.
“He won’t do anything.” Percy shook his head, glancing over at Dionysus. “Right?” He snapped through gritted teeth. It was just natural instinct at that point. If you didn’t have control over someone’s life, no one listened to you. Atleast in their world.

Percy’s trying to talk with him and invite him on their journey to Wyoming and Dio is actively dragging him away
A random ass kid and a clairvoyant freak (his words, not mine) are immune while he has to worry about being turned into a mindless monster every minute of every day
It’s even funnier that Lucas has slight beef with Dio just in og since he had a kid with his sister and dipped

And than you find their kid and it’s literally a almost 16 year old who sucking made friend with monsters as a child because they’re an underworld kid (child of Nyx) and we’re like “aw babiesss” and befriended people
Literally she brought home a 16 foot long snake once in og lore and freaked out her adopted parents
Also like was kidnapped by ‘wolves’ (one of Lupa’s children) for a day when she was younger along with the other wolf god in Greek origin I forgot the name of so like she has the most random ass stories
They meet the og version of her and Dionysus is like “it’s that damned Lucas guy’s kid 🧍”/silly
What makes this funny is because in the TLOU AU dio only had castor and Pollux. I didn’t even include my own dio kid ocs.
He’s lost on why Lucas has one sided beef with him (well, kinda one sided. He’s salty about the immune thing.)

Maybe Sammy was heading to Jackson (like I said, safe town run by Apollo and Hermes) with her mom after hearing something over the radio, but her mom dies along the way and she has to make it there herself??

TLOU!Dio sometimes sits outside of Percy’s bedroom in Jackson when they first get there (safe town that Apollo and Hermes run) because he’s so used to not being safe and needing to protect the two of them. He can not rest even if the rational part of his brain knows no one can get them anymore.
He sits outside the door with a gun until the sun starts rising, and he feels better knowing that he’ll be able to see someone if they try and get into the house. So he moves to the living room or kitchen.
