This is quite possibly the WORST anti-vaccine argument I have ever heard.

Starting with the obvious, there is a notable difference between a parent injecting a child with ANYTHING, and a doctor doing so. Doctors are licensed professionals dispensing pre-made vaccines, not stay at home moms blending up some formaldehyde death cocktail.

Additionally, when used correctly and there is an absence of contraindications or preexisting conditions, TIV vaccine for influenza is considered safe by the CDC and FDA. Both agencies confirm a vaccine to be the most effective prevention of seasonal influenza.

In reference to thoughts that flu vaccines lead to the development of Guillan- Barre syndrome, this has been disproved by clinical studies. According to two studies, approximately and additional 1 person out of 1million vaccinated people will be at an elevated risk for GBS. This number is negligible when it is noted that approximately 750 people per million are hospitalized every year with influenza strains that could have been prevented by a vaccine. Some of these cases will prove fatal.

Bottom line: When properly administered, flu vaccine benefits greatly outweigh perceived risks.

I've noticed that any time I take a medication including acetaminophen I'll spend the next 24 hours vomiting and with a killer migraine, this is everything from cold & sinus medication to vicodin. Is it possible to be allergic to it and is that common?

it's absolutely possible that you could be allergic to acetominophen. this is fairly common (aroung 8%) and even in people without allergies, it can cause nausea and vomiting. 

Normally I would say the vomiting is from the vicodin since it's an opiate, but since you mentioned sinus medication as well, you are most likely just sensitive. Aleve (naproxen) and Ibuprofen are better alternatives with less incidence of allergy.

Xanax is a central nervous system depressant. This means it slows brain activity. Xanax (alprazolam) works specifically by increasing GABA activity, curbing the brain’s “excitability” and allowing the brain to restore its natural balance. Although different classes of central nervous system depressants work in unique ways, ultimately it is their ability to increase GABA activity that produces a drowsy or calming effect.

no, not all. some like seconal (secobarbital) are barbiturates, and some like Lunesta (eszopiclone) are non benzo hypnotics.
