I think cars are too normalized in this society that we live in. Because the concept of them is so weird. I think everyone on the road just forgot that they’re blasting around a 3000 pound chunk of metal at inhuman speeds. Maybe be a little safer about it? Maybe don’t tailgate people? Maybe stop at crosswalks when there are people crossing?

i think about this/talk about this all the FUCKING time. like. the average person wouldn’t go out and buy a horse on their own. horses are complex and dangerous creatures with expensive upkeep. you need to have Specific Knowledge TM to buy a horse. yet i own a 3000 lb piece of metal that i regularly drive at 85 mph. I could KILL SOMEONE with this thing. and i don’t know the first thing about it really. how am i qualified????
