The Fall Of Icarus

It was bright and early when Icarus woke up, a small yawn leaving the young prince as they rubbed their eye. They looked over at their siblings- their broodmates when their gaze fell upon their younger brother, Midas. An idea began to take flight in their head as they made their way over, careful not to wake their siblings as they gently nudged Midas.

“Midas- Mi. Wake up.”

It took a bit but eventually the younger prince woke up, yawning softly and raising a brow as if to ask Icarus why they had woken them up. They gestured for him to follow as they made their way over to the edge of the nest. Midas followed shortly, careful not to disturb any of their siblings.

“Come on. Let’s go for a flight. I want to get more practice in. We’ll be back before everyone wakes up from their nap.”

Midas sighed but eventually agreed as the two of them changed forms before taking off. Icarus flashed Midas a grin, his eyes glowing with delight. After all, considering they were the only two males in the brood; it was nature for them to have formed a strong bond. The elder of the two did a barrel roll around Midas, drawing a small smile from the younger as the two of them began to glide.

Everything was going fine until suddenly something shot up into the sky, Midas made a noise of surprise as they were startled; eyes going wide before realizing they were okay. They turned to see how Icarus was when they noticed their brother was no longer beside them.

Panic set in as they looked down slightly, Icarus was falling and their wing was smoking and appeared to be on fire. With a shout, they quickly dove after him; hoping to catch him before he crashed into the trees below.

The younger just barely managed to swoop under Icarus and slide their arms under his- thankfully without touching them. It would be a long flight back home… especially now they were certainly going to get an earful when they got back…

Nyx Prime

💫 Daughter of Omnitraxus Prime and Celena the Shy.

Nyx has been created surprisingly after Gaea and Ourea were made. Omnitraxus created them but without the magic of another, they wouldn’t be complete. Which is where Celena Butterfly stepped in and once Nyx had been created, Omnitraxus took her to the realm he was inhabitating and began to help them learn so that when the time came- they would take their place. When the time came for the old members of the Magical High Commission came to an end, Nyx was the one to free Gaea and Ourea.

Nyx’s Duty is simple, it is their job to protect and watch over the interdimensional timeshards. They cannot interfere but they can influence and direct them onto the right path. They can see into almost any dimension they chose so long as they focus on the particular branch or strand that they are looking for. They are very aware of their surroundings and stand at about roughly 15 feet tall when in their dimension which is only half the size of her father (it’s probably due to the mewman magic), but can shrink down to 7 feet when in other dimensions so that way they can be closer to others and talk to them without having to raise their voice.

My turn to ask you! What does Icarus want more than anything?

Icarus’ gaze shifted towards their brother, Midas. The two of them had been born from the same brood, and therefore had a strong bond. He knew of the other’s curse, just as much as Midas knew about his... unfortunate fall. Their dual coloured gaze shifted up towards the sky that seemed all that more vibrant as the faint chirp of birds fell upon the prince’s ears. A soft sigh left them as they averted their gaze, their bangs shifting to cast a shadow over their eyes.

“...”

They shook their head as they moved over to help Midas preen their feathers, being careful of course so to not be turned to gold. Since the few gold feathers Midas did have were from when they had tried to preen themselves which is why Icarus or someone else close to the prince had to help. They didn’t want to think much about about their own desires since it wasn’t going to happen.

“I want my brother to be happy... if I could... I’d take their curse from them.”

🃏 Trixsy Aurelia Butterfly, Daughter Of Meteora.

She never knew who her father was, but it didn’t matter much to her. After all she was lucky enough to have her mother who loves her. As she isn’t the proper heir to the throne due to being born despite her mother not being married, she wasn’t allowed to inherit the wand. She doesn’t mind after all, she managed to create her own magical deck of playing cards. Each suit and number have their own spell and effects attached to it. The joker card being the strongest out of her deck much like her cheek marks. She sadly doesn’t remember how she lost her eye, so she usually keeps it bandages up.
