Logitech Create iPad Pro Cover
I’m not one that typically likes an iPad cover / keyboard combo. Usually they are too bulky and the keyboards are so big it weighs it down quite a bit. Then there is also having to charge the keyboard separate from your iPad.
After getting the iPad Pro and holding its beauty right in my hands, I knew I had to do something to protect it in case it were dropped.
A colleague of mine got the Otterbox for his. A few days later the back was sagging off of the base. Plus the over size didn’t make it very appealing.
Apple’s Smart Keyboard cover seemed intriguing but they don’t protect the back of the iPad from any damages.
So after much research the Logitech Create seemed to have some good reviews.
I decided to give it a try. I did want to see how the keyboard would work with the larger iPad.>
It came in a very nice box. Before I could actually touch the product I was already impressed. The back of the case has a nice texture that will hold up well against drops and somewhat resistant to scratches. It also feels nice to the touch when holding it.
Inserting the iPad isn’t too difficult but it is a snug fit so it takes some pressure but snaps in pretty easily. Because of the snug fit it’s not easy to pull it out of the case whenever you want, but it’s overall not too difficult. Sometimes I miss the touch and fell of the actual iPad so I pull mine out from time to time.
The keyboard is great. It has back-lit keys that make it a beautiful product and makes for typing in the dark a synch.
The iPad docks on its side in landscape mode. It actually supplies power to the keyboard so you never have to worry about your keyboard dying.
You also get some great key strokes, gestures and hot keys to mimic of a MacBook. Command + tab will take you through a list of your open applications. Command + s to save documents and Command + n to create new ones make it feel like you are in front of your MacBook. I honestly have used my MacBook a lot less since aquiring the iPad Pro and the Logitech Create cover.
Though it is a little heavy, and could be somewhat difficult to put the iPad in and out, the cons just aren’t even close to the pro’s on this one. I would give it a rating of 4 ½ out of 5. I highly recommend it!
