     feet faltered and  a  hand reached into her purse      to rummage around for her keys,            partially      because she was near home,   but also because      she may need to stick them between her fingers,      wolverine-style.

     his voice was sudden and soft and ( sweet ),   but it      still frightened her. dani had come to a stop and her      head tipped back to look all the way up at him.    in      all honesty,     his words went in one frightened ear      and straight out the other.

           ▒ they read her defensive posture & it does not surprise                them. after all, the dark is a place of FEAR, more often                than not. remaining calm and understanding, they look                at her with politely warm eyes -- a tinge of ‘i know what                you are feeling’ on sky blue eyes. 

              “not really. if i wanted to rob anyone, i’d go for bigger fish,                trust me,” they joke, giving her a tiny smile (& an offering                of P E A C E for her tensioned muscles, for her wide eyes,                rest for the fright inside her, so it can be useful in times                 where it may serve her right). “these streets aren’t that                safe anymore, so i was keeping an eye for troublemakers.                i live a couple of blocks away, so. yeah. and TRUST ME                again: i know it sounds pretty suspicious, but i mean it.”

         ▒ they have no ill intentions towards the girl they seem              to be stalking -- in fact, they had this uncanny habit               of looking after strangers when they were in their               own territory. the abandoned house they dwelled in              was just a few blocks away, anyway, and nobody               had any thought to try to assault a 6′6 male-looking              fellow under normal circumstances.

             stopping as the girl looks through her belongings, they              tilt their head aside. “... hey. do you need a few cents               for the bus fee? ‘cause i have some, if you need ‘em.”              their voice is soft, non-threatening as they keep their              distance. oh, they know how this can be taken in the                                      w r o n g w a y.

                      “oh no, you choose. tell me what i look like,                        dear. meanwhile, i’ll order us something                        nice, yes?”

                  ▒ and they turn their eyes towards the young twi’lek                       girl that waits beside them, ordering them both a                       sweet cocktail -- something not expensive, but still                       somewhat APPRECIATIVE. flirting is always a fun                       game to them.
