This blog is dedicated to all the dollar store water games, quicksand bottle keychains, filled paper weights, floating animal souvenirs, liquid stim toys, and more!

“What is Aqua/Aquacore???”

Here’s a Handy Explanation that breaks it down!

Along with more well known objects of this nature, I also intend to document more obscure ones, as well as provide links where I can in case anyone would like to add to their own collection, or is inspired to start one.

If it’s full of liquid and you have a strange unexplainable and nostalgic attachment to it? It’ll be here!

Please Note: This isn’t solely an aesthetic blog! I document elements of the aesthetic, but I almost always have something to say about it. Posts here can sometimes run a little long! If you don’t like words, this blog isn’t for you.

I use colored text and text emphasis to break up large blocks of info and to help retain attention. It’s helped me and others plenty and I hope it may help you! But hey if you don’t like it, that’s a-ok! Feel free to filter the “#colored text” tag, just know you’ll mostly only be seeing reblogs from me if you do.

I’m always open to asks, submissions, recommendations, and requests! Just be nice about it. Please know that I get a LOT of things sent to me, and I see them all! I promise I’m not ignoring you if I don’t post yours or it takes a while to get to it.

OCD is hilarious because depending on the type you can have it making you question every constant stream of thought in regards to your own morality and how you affect the world around you to a micro-cosmic scale and have you legitimately evaluating if you morally deserve to live or not

…and on the better days it can instead have you paying a down-payment-on-a-car’s worth of money to collect new varieties of fake decorative electric fish tanks (that you have no room left to store)

Small life update:

So in a hilarious turn of events, I now work as a crewmate on an antiquated vessel 🚢 🌊 ⚓️

As a security guard specifically.

Including night watch.

So basically,

I have found, quite possibly, the worst water game ever designed

I can’t even write a joke here man just look at this thing.

Know that someone, somewhere, had this as an idea in their head, and someone, somewhere, took the time to sculpt this idea into reality with their own hands AND show it to their higher up, and someone, somewhere, saw this very toy I am showing you now, and went “Excellent. But you know what’d really put the cherry on top? Making it so people can wear and display it around their neck. Send it to mass production.”

Been toying around with the thought of re-working the aesthetic’s name slightly. Reason being that “Aqua” is quite vague, even if it is the term I grew up with, and while sticking “-core” at the end helps a bit, the suffix is admittedly a bit overused in this day and age, and it still is just a bit vague for my tastes.

I’ve been humoring the thought of “Capsule Aqua” or something along those lines, because it clarifies the encapsulation of the liquid being a vital part of the aesthetic. And “Enclosed Aqua” and “Encased Aqua” just don’t really sound right imo.

I’m still undecided on changing though, haven’t had enough time to really ruminate on it. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I love seeing the boards people create that include stuff from me, it’s a high compliment! But it really helps for proper sources to be included, as I’ve stumbled upon people asking questions in the comments of those pins that I could’ve answered months ago if it linked back to me right.
