“A little off.” He couldn’t think of a better way to phrase it, or how to tell anyone that he felt like he was in the wrong body. Very little made sense to him, and he wished that he could adjust to it quickly, but he couldn’t. He knew that it wasn’t going to be something he could just bury and pretend was fine; he would have to work to adjust, to gain control of his senses.
“Uh, something like that.” He wished it was that easy, that it was all that was happening to him but he knew that trying to deny what was happening was fruitless. He was a werewolf, there was nothing he could do about it. He had to adjust, and he would. “How was your Halloween?’
She blinked a few times, just watching him quietly as he half answered her question. And that was enough to spike her interest. Arabelle took tentative steps towards the bed where he was laying, moving slowly and carefully. And although she couldn’t say that she knew Matty well, she could definitely say that it was not like him to give such a short and dry answer. He was always so full of words, sass, comebacks, sarcasm... Something was wrong.
As he spoke again, it only proved her point, and the redhead frowned a little, narrowing her eyes as she studied him. It was when he asked her about her Halloween that she caught it. The smell. The werewolf smell. Maybe... Maybe a werewolf had hurt him and was forcing him to keep quiet about it? Her green eyes went a little wide and she looked around frantically, walking around the room. “There’s... There’s a werewolf here.” She mumbled, quickly glancing at him before looking behind a door. “Did they hurt you? Did they do this to you?”

Joslyn smiled,”and much more polite. I am positive if I had smacked into Elinor she would be demanding a night on the town from me. But that is just part of her charm” Joslyn laughed as she shook her head softly.
“ I have just recently returned. I was on the west coast for a while and now I have come back to be with my family. “ she explained with a sweet smile. “ I wasn’t gone too terribly long but it seems they went and turned this town around on me while I was away” she said with a light laugh.
Joslyn looked Arabelle over carefully. She recognized the signs of a vampire who was not feeding properly. Surely there was no cause for that. Though Joslyn was one to speak. Here she was one of the originals and she still fought the urge to feed when needed. Perhaps that was why she could see it so clearly in the other girl.
She chuckled, nodding softly. “Don’t get me wrong, Elinor is kind of like a sister to me. But when we first met she was demanding food and eating my chips.” Arabelle said.
“Ah, it’s strange how we’ve never met then… I’ve been here for quite some time now.” She shrugged lightly, not putting much thought into the subject. “But you have family here, huh? So, was your whole family doomed to become monsters, or did you do the honors yourself?” The redhead asked curiously.
Arabelle could tell that the other was looking at her closely, and felt slightly suspicious about that. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other, but decided to keep her mouth shut for the moment.
She chuckled lightly. “Doomed, the original doomed” she said with a laugh. “I am the youngest of the Blackwell siblings. My siblings are Maggie, Noah and Lukas Blackwell” she explained with a smile. “ Doomed” she said with a laugh. “I am glad to see someone else sees this as being doomed “ she said with a light shake of her head.
This girl was funny, but now Joslyn understood why she looked like she hadn’t been eating. “Forgive my forwardness, but is that perhaps why you appear to not be feeding. I apologize, but I can always tell when a vampire isn’t feeding correctly. Since I, myself, have a tendency to not feed when I should” she explained her voice softening in a warm and welcoming manner.
Arabelle had a soft smile on her face, nodding at the other's words. Until, of course, she mentioned her last name. The redhead did her best to act natural, her green eyes going lightly wide for a brief second as an idea formed in her head. She had no actual reason to fear the Blackwells anymore, so running from her like she would have done a while ago was useless.
"Yes, very much so. But you, a Blackwell sharing the same point of view? I thought you all treasured this curse." Arabelle commented, watching Joslyn closely for reactions.
When she mentioned the fact that she looked like she hadn't been eating, the redhead couldn't help but take a small step back, almost in a defensive manner. But Joslyn's warm voice made her hesitate on doing anything else, and Arabelle decided to give her a chance. "No. I... Was challenged."

Even with the induced panic, the tea smelt so good. Inviting her in, trying to distract her from the problems that be. Noticing the strangers tea, Kaiden prayed she wasn’t bothering her. But there was something about sentimentality that had ended up important to the blonde, annoyingly so. Pulling a face, she froze up initially. “Sorry,” she breathed out at the woman’s own response. “That’s a bother. It’s not like people look out for valuables in their free time, sorry to stop you.” Sighing, Kaiden nodded. “You could say that. It’s a couple centuries old, had it in my possession for most of that. Maybe it was just it’s time to find someone better to love it.”
Arabelle watched the other curiously for a moment, before shaking her head a little at the response she got. “We can look for it. I know how hard it is to lose something that old.” She said, taking a sip of tea before looking around the area they were standing. “What does it look like? And when was the last time you’ve seen it?”

I think the number one thing that I find important is the importance of honesty with your friends and your parents, if you can be. But I think that telling people how you really feel, being who you truly are, being safe and taking care of yourself is the most important thing.

Wyatt had been using his kitchen counter as a makeshift desk and had somehow lost the keys for the building in the piles of paper littering the counter. Once he found them he was out the door and down the street, spotting Arabelle after the walk that only took a few minutes. “Hey, sorry about that. Couldn’t find the keys!” He put the key in the lock and turned it, a bit excited to see the progress of the cafe so far. Ten days in he was both expecting a lot and not much at the same time. Logic and reason went back seat to his hopefulness.
She grinned as soon as she saw him, stepping aside to let him open the door. The redhead nodded at his words and smiled. “It’s alright. I suppose I’m just a bit too excited about this.” Arabelle chuckled softly, watching him. Once he opened the door, she peeked inside, her green eyes curious to see what the place looked like. “So... I thought about some themes... And some things we could do here to draw people in on the opening day...” She said, still focused on seeing the place.

Arabelle closed the door behind the other and then walked to her vanity desk, sitting down in front of the mirror and grabbing a hair brush. “Ha! Better? Darling, my week has been a bit of a mess... I have been very busy with...” She stopped herself and looked at the other, grinning. “Ah, I believe I didn’t tell you this. I got a job! I am the official party planner for Wyatt’s coffee shop.”
