AND THATS NUMBER 20 BABY!!!!!!!
āThe song itself is about ... I always describe it as not fearing anything, anyone, any man, any woman, any war, any gun, any sling or arrow aimed at your heart by other people because there is somebody, finally, who loves you for real, and that you can achieve a real state of grace through somebody elseās love in you.ā

It's always great to see young people, young talented individuals get the opportunity to come through and shine, and he did that in the first race. We had a great little battle and it was super safe. It was hard but fair. [...] He's saying it's not for him to decide, but my advice would be - I would be pushing on my side to make sure I'm doing absolutely everything. At the end of the day, he's got to continue to focus on doing his job every weekend, as he is, and hopefully, he's got good people behind him who are doing the right job to make sure that he's here racing next year.

āHaving less is so much better,ā [Wenders] continues. āAs is being less distracted, being focused on fewer things. Most people, me included, are overwhelmed by all the stuff weāre supposed to read, see, own. Hirayama is not overwhelmed. He doesnāt need everything, and doesnāt want everything. His mind is much less cluttered, so he can see things. His reduction is a great charm, and itās also the great power of the film. Reduction is bliss.ā (x)
PERFECT DAYS (2023) dir. Wim Wenders @pscentral event 26: minimalism
"Then, miraculously, early in the morning, thereās this ray of sunlight appearing on this wall in front of him. And it falls through the little tree in front of the window. There is this play of leaves and sunlight and shadows moving, and he looks at it and stares at it and he starts crying, because heās never seen anything so beautiful. He probably has seen it, but he hasnāt noticed. Then he realizes thatās the answer to his existential crisis, to become somebody who notices that."
