wait i have been struck with divine inspiration. ive said before Naadja has a lot of difficulty surrounding her diet as she can't eat a lot of fruits and vegetables since they taste like the sun to her and make her sick, and most of her diet consists of raw meat, mild flavours, fish, and tubers/squash/mushrooms

but! i believe Naadja would also realize through total accident she has a yucky stinking tooth

Alfira brings the open-hearted bard feelings, Lakrissa brings the teasing confidence, and both of them are braver than they probably think."

the idea that women are "more allowed" to express emotions than men under patriarchy honestly seems like a lie that serves patriarchy itself.

women are constantly pressured to dissociate from the way our circumstances negatively impact us, and we are straight up not permitted more emotional expression in any meaningful way that is received well in patriarchal relations. in reality, we are marked as "more emotional" and therefore taken less seriously than men.

nobody under patriarchy is allowed a healthy and full expression of their emotions, but framing emotional expression as an advantage that women have is bizarre.

Is this writing only?

Nope! This event is for all and any creative endeavors! This includes crafts and illustration as well as virtual photography. There will be an AO3 collection for the duration of October however, I will reblog any posts usung the tag #torturetober26 to this blog!

Is this event NSFW?

Unless you work in a dungeon, yes! But to be more clear, sexual themes are allowed so long as there is no photography of a sexually exploitative nature. This explicitly means taking pictures of subjects without their consent. Given the nature of the event I want to be clear I am not condoning real life actual torture (boo no fun). That being said, there are quite a few heavy topics listed so to protect those not participating (and those who are who do not wish to see certain subjects) I will be implementing a tagging system that will be formatted as such:

i dont think we talk enough about how crazy “don’t you know your sam” is. like. frodo was actively under the influence of the most corrupting object in middle earth, an influence that was HEIGHTENED by close proximity to the nazgul, and all it took to snap him out of it was sam asking him to remember he’s his. what the fuck.
