This blog is themed after my oc (turned one-piece) Valkyrix! (Just call them Valk though... it's easier to pronounce for some. And shorter).
Anyways, I initially had this blog attached with my other account for them, @valk-offical , but that account is more for their actual lore in the story they're a part of. So here's the One Piece version!
Lets get into the details yes....
Valk ate a Zoan devil fruit. I'm leaning towards calling it the akki-akki no mi because they're very devilish, but they also have spider-like features, so...eh. To be determined.
Anyways, their devil fruit gives them the ability to transform into a spider-like (and devil-like) creature. There are multiple extents to this transformation, though they usually keep their devil fruit relaxed at a certain form (which will be added below).
In this neutral state, they have an extra set of arms, an extra set of eyes (usually closed to not overwhelm themself), an impish tail, and two horns. Permanently on their body, they have the back pattern of a brazilian jewel tarantula, a star pattern between their ribs (lots of star motifs which will be visible in their design), and sharp fangs.
They have venom about as bad as a gooty sapphire tarantula, though they usually carry an anti-venom with them.
They have an arsenal on their pirate ship, creating and distributing weapons, ranging from melees to projectiles. Customs are welcome, as long as you know what youre looking for.
Trust me, you name it and they'll find a way to make it.
Overall, their job description isn't limited to who can buy their weapons, but they are extremely queasy on selling to marines.
When Valk was a kid, their family was in poverty. While their parents weren't bad parents per say, they weren't the best either. They weren't very active in Valk's life, rather they took time to find more interest in their work.
They provided a house and a roof over Valk's head, but they were often home alone while their parents worked to pay for them to thrive.
Valk knew their parents didn't hate them, but they weren't there for them either. Valk's mental state tended to fluctuate back and forth, and one time they got up and left, running away from home.
Did they partially blame themself for the reason of their parents not being in a stable spot financially? Maybe. Who cares...........
Anyways, they ended up living on their own for a while. When they were around ten, they were starving. They wanted something to eat, which is when they found their devil fruit. Yay!....Right?
Hehh,,, nope. The townsfolk weren't big fans of having a freaky looking devil fruit user....boo.....
So, their life wasn't very fun. They were isolated from the town and had to get their own food most of the time. Very occasionally, people would go out to hunt them, but people also don't tend to look up in the trees, so, yeah. There was never really a risk factor of getting caught
Eventually, they set sail to find a new island. What island they found? Don't ask me...But they started shop there, and created their arsenal! Yay!

PALOMA - not my character. belongs to my best friend. umm, she may be mentioned. can be a navigator if abe is too focused on mechanics.
ABE - main navigator and mechanic! he fights with guns. ate the alien-alien fruit, and now hes an alien. yay.
HARLEY - the ships doctor!!! valk you NEED your rabies shots. we know this. she is half skypiean!
CASPIAN - fish. hes fishman. uh. he knows very good fishman karate, and he can make a half-decent meal if he HAS to.
KAISER - he is very good with his khopesh! (blade). hes also the helmsman! and half-fishman
AMARI - the chef ever!!!! and also great with hand-on-hand combat. he wears heavy metal(not seastone) rings. ate the lizard-lizard fruit. LITERALLY a lizardperson!
