Welcome to Doriath Week! There’s been so much love and creativity surrounding the Noldor recently that we have decided to dedicate seven days to some of the Sindar. We really hope that you will join us!

This event will take place in October, between Monday 21st and Sunday 27th.

The prompts are thus (but you can totally do your own thing if you want!):

Day 1: Thingol and Melian — Enchantment, Stillness, The Girdle, Light

Day 2: Lúthien — Beren, The Silmaril, Change, Family

Day 3: Dior and Nimloth — Children, Kinslaying, Choice

Who will tell your story?

“What will you sing about?” The little girl was a curious thin. Her mother, however, wasn’t very fond of all that insistence to deal with strangers.

The woman stood a few steps behind, a hand on that hunting knife. He smiled to her, nodding just slightly to try and reassure her. Then, he ran his fingers over his harp, pensive. It’d been a long while since the last time he had sung something for children of any kind, elven or not. Surely the Noldolantë wouldn’t do. He hummed to hide the smile, trying to remember one that would suit her. None about his family, of that much he was certain. It’d not do good for any child to hear about Fëanáro and his line. It certainly hadn’t done him any good.

“Have you ever heard about the House of Finarfin, little one?”

“How is she?” Gil-Galad asked, a smile on his mouth despite sunburns and the long travel. Celeborn had always found him unsettling because of this stubborn cheerfulness. “It’s been a long time since I had news of about Celebrían.”

“Bigger, more beautiful and louder, I’m afraid. But we’re managing her thus far.”
