hello! thank you for your question. yes, Numenor Week will happen this year, but I've not decided when yet, since i don't want it to happen at the same time of other events. I'm thinking about posting a poll for giving my followers the possibility to decide (and possibly, to avoid to overlap with other events!)

Summary:
âWell,â the Maia starts again after a short pause of confusion that was waved away. âThe Lord NĂĄmo could not simply release them from the Halls like everyone else, given the length and magnitude of their crimes.â
Amrod opens his mouth. Nerdanel slaps her hand over it to prevent the comment that arose in her own mind at nearly the same time.
âI see,â she says again, though she really doesnât. Amrod and the bird make a protesting noise at almost the same time and Nerdanel shushes them both.
When the Sons of Fëanor are released from the Halls of Mandos, it's in an unusual manner, or rather, an unusual body. Steps must be taken to figure out how to return them back to their Elven bodies.

welcome to T4TOLKIEN, a trans-positive Tolkien server!!!
This is a space for uplifting trans-focused Tolkien fandom content, but anyone is welcome to join!
You do not have to be trans to get involved, and non-trans discussion is absolutely welcome. We wanted to create a space where trans identity is normalized and accepted, and in doing so that means integrating other aspects of everyday life into this server. This is a trans-positive, trans-friendly space, but itâs not a trans-only space!
Iâm super excited to get this server started!! I have some amazing co-mods working with me, and I would love love love to see you join us!!!!
A word document of deleted scenes, some literally deleted and 2 (thus far) written for fun while knowing full well they wouldnât fit into the story. Iâll post those when theyâre relevant. A few random characterization notes, including:
Celechwes is one of the few people 99% immune to the FĂ«anor Effect.* Itâs a combination of being married to Maedhros and having been a close witness to Fingolfinâs last ride (both meaning literal spiritual resistance built up); jadedness re: his actions and the consequences thereof, esp to some of those she loves most; and plain lack of interest in pretty much all crafting. They get along fine (post-all reembodiments) on periodic family camping trips though.
Seeking greater amity, he ruthlessly cheats and invites her to be a test subject for the CurufinwĂ«sâ experimental one-person flight technology (wings). When he presents her the final version (pending new ideas, obv), she declares him her new favorite in-law âfor at least a week.â
This question was maybe raised previously? And has been annoying Feanor for a while bc heâs a whiny baby? I just think itâd be funny if she says that and he blurts out, âwho IS your favorite in-law?â
âAredhel, of course,â Celechwes says, which, fair enough. Anyone with eyes could see that, really. âBut on your sideâand second in general, reallyâCaranthir, for sure.â
(Or does she have âMoryoâ privileges?)
Feanor: What?
(Because Celechwes and Caranthir have NO interests in common but they simply Vibe on the levels of ânot very ambitious personally, at least not flashily; not (as) eager for vengeance but extremely protective of Their People & morals focus on that; finite tolerance for people, especially stupid people)
* The tendency of everyone who meets or even just hears about FĂ«anor to become at least a little bit obsessed with him. The worldâs greatest known sufferer of the FĂ«anor Effect is CurufinwĂ« AtarinkĂ«. Indis is 99% immune (the most immune anyone can be, really); this, of course, helped nothing.
Ever since Elrond had joined his court, more than three centuries ago, Gil-Galad cannot recall a time when his meetings weren't started with the utmost punctuality.
So, half an hour after the monthly council meeting to discuss agricultural yields of the area should have started, Gil-Galad finds himself rather concerned and leaves the shuffling nobles to find his herald.
He isn't in his bedroom which Gil-Galad had frankly expected: he knows full well that Elrond spends the smallest amount of time he can in his room and if he's going to be dramatic, then it is unlikely that he will wallow in there.
And so Gil-Galad continues on down the list of places he knows Elrond likes to frequent.
He wasn't in his office, nor in his favourite part of the palace gardens, nor even in that little nook of the library he had recently taken to hiding in when he didn't wish to be disturbed.
Gil-Galad was not panicking - he was king after all, he didn't panic - but his concern had grown considerably when he had finally found him.
Elrond was sitting in the window of the highest tower, the one used by the astronomers, and he had his legs over the sill, dangling over the city.
"My mother jumped from a tower like this," he says conversationally and doesn't look around. "I thought she died."
"I think we all did," Gil-Galad says instead of the whole lecture he had been planning as he searched. There's a slump to Elrond's shoulders and he's gripping the windowsill as it is the only thing stopping him from following his mother.
"I used to hate her. Or I thought I did."
"Elrond," Gil-Galad begins because they've had this conversation before and he'd rather they didn't have to retread old memories.
"I know." Elrond still doesn't turn around. "She's not dead. She didn't abandon us willingly."
He falls silent.
"What's this about?" Gil-Galad finally asks.
"What do you think happens when you die?" Elrond finally turns around, swinging himself bodily into the room.
His eyes are red and his face blotchy and damp.
Gil-Galad doesn't know what he's meant to do. He takes a deep breath and gently sinks down to sit on the carpet with his herald. "Your fëa goes to Mandos and then, according to your fate, you either pass beyond the bounds of the world or heal in the halls until you are re-embodied or-"
"Or the world is rebuilt. I know that, everyone knows that. But what do you think happens when you die?"
"Elrond, why are you asking?"
"If I die," Elrond says, leaning forward to grip Gil-Galad's arm, "don't come after me, alright?"
"Elrond!" He rears back. "You aren't going to die!"
"You don't know that! Elros-" Elrond's face crumples. "Elros died."
Gil-Galad swallows back the surprise at this. Of course Elrond would know before the official announcement.
He reaches up to gently cup Elrond's cheek in one hand. "Elros chose mortality."
Elrond bats the hand away. "That's not how that works! I know that's...no-one knows how Peredhil work, the Valar least of all, and I don't..." He curls forward, pulling at his hair.
This is not a situation Gil-Galad had even contemplated that morning. He doesn't know how to deal with this sudden outburst from his usually so calm herald.
A little awkwardly - after all, it's been a while since he's had to comfort someone - Gil-Galad shuffles to Elrond's side and wraps an arm around his shoulders.
Elrond lets out a shaking sob and buries his face in the front of Gil-Galad's robes.
Gil-Galad is momentarily taken aback that it worked that he doesn't know what to do next. But then some faint sliver of a memory of when he was little comes to him and he remembers what his father used to do when he was sad.
He begins to rub circles into Elrond's back and hum some nonsense notes. Elrond's sobs do not abate, but they do quiet and the shaking lessens.
Gil-Galad hopes that Erestor is able to keep the council in order for the rest of the day because he doesn't think he'll be moving any time soon.
