Growing up every time I left the house, my parents would say: "remember who you are, what you stand for, and what you believe in" when I was younger I thought it was their way of telling me, "Don't act a fool" . As a young adult, my parents still tell me this. Not as frequent. But with deeper meaning. It's their way of telling me, "Don't let anyone change you. Value who you are. Stand up for yourself. " So that's what I did. At the ripe age of twenty. See, if you surround yourself with the rotten, you've already forgotten who you are. If you stand with the rotten, you've already forgotten what you stand for. If you believe in the rotten, you've already forgotten what you believe in. I stood for myself, and walked away. I got in my car, and moved on.
