I can’t stop thinking about Kenji on the Rails Again and how Thomas had to say goodbye to Hiro

Because it’s so much deeper than just saying goodbye

These two have such a unique bond that I don’t think we see with anyone else in this series

Remember in Hero of the Rails, when these two found each other and what they went through together

Think about how Hiro came to Sodor, a new country with a different culture and language. And then he broke down and was put away and forgotten about. For years, he was alone and sad, feeling useless and unwanted and abandoned.

And then, after years of silence, out of nowhere, this little blue engine just shows up. And then, after five minutes of talking to Hiro, he says with FULL Confidence, “I’m going to take care of you! I’ll fix you! I’ll do everything in my power to keep you safe!”

AND THEN HE DOES! He brings him parts, he keeps him company, he brings his friends to help, to protect him. Even when Hiro was about to accept his fate, Thomas goes, “NO, I refuse to give up on you!”

Thomas spent days running around, grabbing parts, avoiding Spencer and Topham Hatt, AND SUCCEEDED

This little tank engine saved the master of the railway in under a week. Thomas is more than just Hiro’s friend, he’s HIS HERO

And now they have to say goodbye. And that’s just so heart wrenching

You know what I love about the episode Old Reliable Edward?

When Edward goes to Thomas and tells him about Gordon being rude and ungrateful, Thomas IMMEDIATELY goes into Cheeky Bastard Mode™ and starts planning a trick on Gordon.

LOOK AT HIS FACE! He did not HESITATE for a second. There was no “well look at it from Gordon’s perspective” or even a “I’m sorry to hear that Edward”

All he needed to hear was “Gordon’s so ungrateful” and he goes full bastard

I GUARANTEE Thomas was already drawing up plans before Edward even finished his sentence. Iconic

surprisingly, I wasn't too sure about this episode but oh my god.. /pos

for a BWBA episode, this takes the absolute cake, it shows off Bill and Ben interacting with different engines and especially Edward, it shows the docks and even Edward's new location for it too (since he isn't at Tidmouth anymore, still salty about this but whatever)

it shows their relationship to definitely be: two hyper twins and their tired babysitter.

AND EDWARDS ACTING IN THIS SCENE

god, Edward's VA didn't have to go so hard but they DID AND FOR WHAT

"Oh dear! Where is my truck? The Earl will be dissapointed when he hears the sad news.."

I could honestly rant about this forever/pos but this episode is definitely worth watching imo
