Okay as hard as I agree with this, just from a strategic standpoint training Naruto was the right choice. Yes it was shitty and horrible to basically ignore Sakura, but people were gonna die. Like a lot of people. So

HOWEVER I 100% agree Sakura was incredible for the way she handled it all and how much she did with so little help. Fandom should recognize that.

If only there were a jonin sensei around, who specialized in genjutsu, and couldn’t go on missions at that time because she’s pregnant, so she was completely free.

Less sarcastically, in universe, Kakashi’s decisions, when taken one by one, each seem to be an understandable choice of priorities at the moment. But taken collectively, what you see is a pattern in which Sakura is told implicitly that the boys’ development and Sasuke’s rescue is more important than her own development and even safety. And people wonder why Sakura remained hung up on the idea that the only reason she needed to develop was for Sasuke’s benefit.

Out of universe, if Kishimoto really cared about Sakura developing as a character, then somebody would have been found. Hell, create a new character if you need to. “This is Denatsu, Tsunade’s evil twin who just got out of prison and needs to do a thousand hours of community service.” What the fuck ever. GIVE HER SOMEBODY.

Does anybody EVER say, in canon, that Sakura needs to stop chasing Sasuke because he’s bad for HER? No. The closest we get is “your longing for Sasuke is hurting Naruto” (!!!!!)

And then when Sakura attempts to please people in universe by ignoring her own feelings and offering herself to Naruto, fans call this unforgivable, selfish and manipulative.

Just a reminder that massacring your entire extended clan, including children, and torturing your brother can totally be explained away by extenuating circumstance if you’re a hot boy, but if you’re a girl, pretending to have feelings for someone you don’t to save his life is UNFORGIVABLE.
