You regret telling Yoongi to stay in bed while you made coffee for the two of youā¦ His espresso machine is way too fancy for you, the girl who gets most of her caffeinated drinks from Jimin, altruistic and sickly sweet as always, or from batting your eyelashes at the cooks in between tables at your waitressing job. Why are there so many buttons on this damn machine? Why is it asking you what size the beans are? You have zero conception of what a large coffee bean versus a small coffee bean is and all the symbols might as well be hieroglyphics to you at this point.Ā
Yoongi is light on his feet, graceful, as you once called him, which made him cringe. This gives him ample means to startle you from behind in the kitchen but he doesnāt. Instead, he grunts, still half asleep, a slow riser at heart and in body. He wakes up in stages, as youāve learned- which means youāve been trying to decipher his alien coffee machine for an embarrassingly long time now. He stretches his arms out as he ambles his way to you in his kitchen, still bogged down by the weight of a good nightās sleep.Ā
You give him a quick glance, noting that he even bothered to throw a shirt on to go with his usual nighttime garb of boxers, but, at the risk of staying distracting, deliberately direct your attention to the machine whose life goal is to leave you dehydrated and decaffeinated. You briefly wonder if he purposely made more noise than usual just to warn you of his incoming presence, maybe to make sure he didnāt startle you or maybe to give you ample time to reject him as his arms, toned but not quite muscular, wind around your familiar waistline.
You try not to let your humiliation at your technical ineptness show, knowing Yoongi lives to tease you, though you normally donāt mind that habit of his (quite the opposite, actually. Take that how you will). He doesnāt tease though, not now, and you canāt see his face, but his breath against your neck eases the tension in your entire body, from your shoulders down. He has that effect, and not just on you, as youāve noticed.
āForgot Iāve never walked you through this process before, dove,ā His morning voice should probably be illegal. You make a mental note to bring the idea up to Namjoon, a mutual friend of the two of you who just so happens to be a law studentā¦ āItās overcomplicated as all hell, but itās worth it, I swear.ā When Yoongi promises something, even as trivial as a cup of coffee you believe it.
You let out a huff of air, āYouāre too late, Yoongs,ā He hums from his spot where heās hitched his chin on your shoulder to watch you fiddle with the closest thing he has to a roommate. āIāve already declared a lifelong grudge against this stupid fucking hunk of metal.āĀ
He chuckles, and itās low and dangerous, sending reverberations through your body from where his chest is touching your back, even with two layers of clothing separating the two of you. You hadnāt spent a morning with him in just over a week, and had somehow forgotten just howā¦ intimate things with him felt at this time of day. Domestic, even.n It feels silly to shy away or blush at acts of intimacy with the man youāve actively been sleeping with for months now. You donāt try to rationalize it to yourself, sometimes things are better left alone and uncomplicated.
āIf youāre asking me to choose between you and him you better put some pants on before I kick your ass out,ā He pinches at the skin on your hip, grinning when you flinch away because he knows it didnāt hurt. He rubs at it with the same hand, as if to make sure you know heās joking. āYou got work today?ā
You reply with a hum and a nod, watching as his slender fingers push a few buttons and turn the big nob at the front, the one that had started to feel like a judging eye, and you canāt help but feel almost hypnotized by the act. The words painfully domestic float through your brain and you bat them away like an angry cat.Ā
āEight hours,ā You lean back, letting him hold up a bit of your weight, and he doesnāt fight it, he invites it, even. āAnd itās a Thursday, so the tips are gonna be shit too.ā You know that youāre whining, and that it canāt be pleasant to listen to but youāve been working hard, both in classes and at work, feeling as though you have nothing to show for any of it thus far.
He sucks on his teeth, too empathetic towards you for his own good, at least as far as youāre concerned, especially when you whine and pout about adult life. You appreciate it nonetheless. Heās particularly sweet at this time of the day, his honey tinted skin glowing in the early morning sunlight only adding to his saccharine aura. Sickly sweet in the best way, you decide at this very moment.
āNeed a ride?ā You can practically taste his smirk at his not at all clever double entendre because you both know heās said those exact words to you in a very different context only nights earlier.
āYes, very,ā You ignore the lazy vulgarity, used to his charm and wickedness. āIn fact, you kinda have no choice since any other option would make me late.ā Was this on purpose? Youāll never tell; youāll just remind everyone how hot people are when theyāre driving. At least youāre pretty sure that that isnāt a Min Yoongi specific thingā¦

you know that writing tip about setting really small goals? i thought that that was bs for a while but ever since i set my daily goal to 350 iāve been writing way more than usual???
like i blow that goal out of the water by at least 700 every day and i havenāt written like that in a WHILE
obviously not every strategy works for every person but this is one iāve seen talked about a lot and is apparently worth trying lol... anyway the first scene of buttercup is completely written & edited/rewritten and i really like her so far <3
ā¢ min yoongi wears leather jackets, spends most of his days on the wrong side of a blunt, and calls you the sweetest names when no one else is around. and you just had to go and fall in love with him.

your blog is your safe space. you donāt need to answer any ask (hate or otherwise) if it goes directly against keeping your space safe. we all know the difference between constructive criticism and someone being a fuckass. you are in 100%, total control of what you respond to. 9 times out of 10, a troll anon is looking to get a reaction out of you and to feed off that ugly negativity, and you donāt have to respond to it. sometimes, its worth it to clear something up if thereās any confusion, but no amount of clever responses will stop a troll from being a troll. you can take all that control and power the anon wants by refusing to give in to what they want mostāa reaction.
