I’m very sorry for being gone for such a long time! I’ve had a lot of things happening, and I still won’t be fully active for a while longer.
But I am going to try and get a few replies done here and there.
If you want to continue old threads, just let me know! They’re dusty and old so you don’t have too, but… yeah.

Ritsu was watching the sky as opposed to the ground, preferring to occupy himself with the wheelings of birds catching thermals in the air, rather than thinking about people. He had come up here to avoid people, after all, so why should he think about the bumbling masses? It just defeated the purpose.
It wasn’t that he liked being alone, he just hated people. There were times that he’d start getting cabin fever and refuse to be cooped up alone, but then he’d return to the world of socialization and remember — Oh, right, every last member of the human race is the scum of the earth. It was a stupid and contradictory feeling, but as a member of the human race, Ritsu had just as much license to be messed up and hard to understand. That was his line of thinking, anyway.
“You haven’t met anyone? Lucky you. I haven’t been able to avoid meeting people since I first came here.” Ritsu sighed, chain-link fence rattling as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other. He didn’t want to sit down. The gravel would dig into his legs. He figured he should have brought a blanket in his bag or something, but then again, he hadn’t exactly planned this from the start or anything.
“Usually upset? No. I’m not actually all that upset. No more than usual, I guess.” Crap, that didn’t make much sense. “I don’t get along well with other people, okay?”
His eyes would wonder across the girl beside him, before he would catch himself, and look back at the ground. But like a magnetic pull, his eyes slowly would go back to the person.
Araragi was content standing on the sidelines, watching everyone else go by. It's not that he was a bad person, he just could not get himself involved into anything with a passion. Even meeting people, talking to people, usually took too much. For the boy, everyone he met had come to him. A series of odd events over and over permeated his life.
But this person had shown up in front of him, looking angry. That was enough to trigger a reaction.
"People aren't so bad." He said with a shrug. Coming from the person that sought no one out. "Maybe its a sign, that you keep meeting everyone." He frowned, sighing out as he slid to the ground, resting his elbows on his knees. "Maybe it means you're going to meet people that won't make you angry. Who wants to be upset all the time . . ." He said, drifting off.

A gust of wind blows -- the breeze blowing across the roof -- the metal fence shakes and rattles, the wind like little hands, tugging, pulling -- brown hair obscures his vision as for a hopeful second at the flapping of fabric, the gust tugging at their clothing and --

Eyes shutting quickly, he shook his head. He could already picture what would happen. A hand grabbing his wrist; lifting into the air; thrown clear over the side of the building, to bleed out on the hard ground below; sure he would be all right -- but the angry glare of the purple haired girl haunted him --
As the wind grew still, opened his eyes again, crossing his arms, clearing his throat. "I'm -- Araragi! By the way!"

….Hooray. Gym class was going to be great.
…not.
Shouma tugged at his shorts for what felt like the millionth time — they were shorter than he’d thought they’d be — and sighed. He didn’t have very good stamina to begin with, and… judging by this guy’s attitude, gym class was going to become even more of a living hell than it already was. Oh joy.
Could he leave already? Shouma was tempted make an exit through the back door. With all the students milling about looking for partners, it wouldn’t be terribly difficult… Not that he thought he’d actually have the guts to pull off something like that, but it was still terribly tempting nonetheless. He couldn’t help but eye off the door in contempt.
Distant dark coloured eyes stared at the students all lined up for gym class; The look on the boys face was bored and tired. Standing with his arms crossed (these shorts had no pockets; what the hell) he watched as everyone partnered up for the next exercise;

Bingo.
A boy with blue hair; eyes darting to the door; he looked just as miserable as Araragi felt. He seemed more scared though; like he wasn't into doing physical running around, getting tired and sweaty. While the brunette simply hated the strict routine of it all -- if he was going to do something that exerted so much energy, he would rather it be on his own time.
Stepping beside the boy, Araragi's eyes narrowed as he glanced over, sizing up the kid. Would he do it? Would he go for the door? "Running to the door is easier than running the track," He would comment -- jogging was probably the worst excuse for a gym activity. It was like busy work for exercise heads --

Ritsu couldn’t decide if the guy looked dumbstruck, or just plain dumb. He settled on both without really caring that much about it. He wondered idly what he’d done to his hair to get that little lock to stand up like that. It was a strangely common affectation among the student body.
It was nice up here, Ritsu supposed. The air hadn’t gotten too warm yet, and nobody was smoking so the air smelled sweet. He was a little surprised nobody was smoking, actually. Wasn’t that was delinquents did on roofs? Squat in circles and smoke and plan their next vandalism? Ritsu had never really paid attention to much of that. He wasn’t exactly a model student, but he didn’t go out of his way to make trouble with the faculty. It was much easier to just silently despise them from afar.
Ritsu had just about gotten comfortable, enjoying the cool breeze to his back and the warm sunlight — He’d have to mess with his hair a little when he got back inside, but it probably wouldn’t get too tangled — when he heard a voice. A question — No, an observation, but it may as well have been a question.
“Upset?” Ritsu echoed, disinterest practically dripping from his words. “I’m usually like this. You must not have met me before. I just got here a couple days ago.” That wasn’t precisely all there was, but oh well. The poem thing and the corpselike teacher were both none of his business, anyway.
He would be staring at the fence in front of him instead of her, feeling the cool, smooth metal of the chain-link fence against his fingers, as the person beside him finally spoke up, after a moment of silence between his words. Frowning for a moment, the vision of the fence would fuzz -- perception changed, and the courtyard below became clear. Soon it would be filled with students, as the bell for rang.

It was like clockwork. Tick, tock, tick, tock.
The way the bell would ring -- the way the students would stand, the way the faceless grey would shuffle out of the classroom -- Sounds of chairs scraping on the floor. Pens clattering in over-stuffed bags -- Clopping shoes. Laughing or talking or in complete silence. Didn’t matter -- They were all part of the grey.
But no bells yet -- just the empty yard -- students filling the seats of their classrooms -- all of them, except for this one beside him, that he knew of -- also not in class, also separated from the rest of the rest--

Eyes slowly turned to her. Araragi was doing his all to be on his best behaviour. All his friends -- the snail, the monkey, the snake, the cat, the tsundere -- had told him he better behave, better be nice.
"I haven't met anyone, actually." He said finally, with a bit of a sigh. "You're the first person." As he closed his eyes, letting go of the links, he put his hands into his pockets and leaned against the wobbling metal that oversaw the school yard. "So you're usually upset?"
That's what he had gathered from the statement.

Ritsu didn’t intend on making a habit of skipping class, but he couldn’t stand the atmosphere in that place anymore.
It figures. He’d thought Creative Writing was going to be a breeze, and it was, mostly. The teacher just gave him the creeps in the worst way. Not a rapist kind of creepy, more of a Halloween horror story kind of creepy. The kind of creepy that gets told around an upturned flashlight, and was supposed to end with “…And the teacher was dead the whole time!” or something cliche like that. The only problem was, Ritsu wasn’t going to get some kind of easy, neat little ending that explained everything. So he was just left with a bad feeling every day in class that completely stunned what little creativity he had.
So, all in all, Ritsu would be better off just leaving. Just this once. Maybe if he wasn’t there, he wouldn’t have to read the stupid poem he pulled out his ass for the whole stupid class to hear. He tossed a long strand of hair behind his shoulder again and climbed the last of the steps, casting a glance over his shoulder to make sure a teacher hadn’t materialized out of thin air to drag him down to detention. Seeing no such retribution inbound. Ritsu stepped out into the light…
…And found himself face-to-face with another student.
Ritsu’s features pressed into a scowl. Of course. If he ever found a moment’s solitude in this godforsaken school, it would either be a miracle or a sign of the apocalypse.
“Look, I know nobody really owns this roof, but can we just agree to disregard each other until the bell?” Ritsu said haughtily, walking to the fence around the edge of the roof and leaning his back against it idly.

The door swings open -- a gust of wind -- its a red haired trap female at the door.
His eyes widen slightly, a look of surprise crossing his face -- a student up here? But the classes were still in session -- the boy was not one to talk, up here even before this girl; but then a scowl crossed the red-heads face --

"Uh... Right," Was all that Araragi could manage, as the student walked with a look of determination to the far side of the roof. While she had said no one owned the roof; she certainly did not act like it, sauntering across with such a scowl of disdain. It was a surprise to see anyone up here. Well, maybe not. His school was filled with such good, normal, average students, that would ever dream to miss a class; but here, maybe they did. Maybe they were outside the box.
And as much as Araragi stared at the students that filled the halls, wishing to be normal, to lead an average life as they did, he could not bring himself to behave like a sheep. Only his first day here, not even attending a single class yet, and he was already bored of the blah-de-blah of all the teachers monotonous lectures about things that -- as much as he wanted to be a good, normal student -- he could not bring himself to care about.

Slowly turning his head away from the girl, he stepped forward to the fence as well. Gripping the links with his fingers, he held on tightly, using it as support. He tried to hold his tongue, he really did. But the words slipped out, as he cast his dark eyes the the one that stood not-to-far to the side of him. "You look upset." Araragi's ultimate downfall; any single person with a problem. Especially girls.

A boy -- he stands on the roof top of the academy, looking over the courtyard -- his hands in his pockets -- a distant look in his eyes, wishing, longing, not to be here, to go away, to drift off -- bored and tired and ready to give up --

Araragi's eyes drifted lazily over the landscape of the new school. Tancho Academy . . . He had hardly been here for a few hours, just long enough to stuff his belongings into the dorm room, before quickly rushing off. He really, really did not want to be here. He would much rather be at home -- well, not home home, more like out at the park with Senjougahara maybe, even his old school -- even Oshino's den would be nice compared to this --

Parents fingers waving in his face, disapproval; Their boy, skipping class? How could he? -- Wasn't he friends with the class president? -- It must be that girl, that girl he keeps going out with -- bad influence -- move him -- boarding school, where there will always be an eye on you --

He sighed out, closing his eyes tiredly. Maybe this way at least, he would be able to be normal. No oddities here.
The sound of a door opening behind him, got Araragi to turn. Was he allowed to be on the roof at this time? He didn't know. Either way, his time alone to his thoughts was over as the door swung open;
