* clint , particularly , has issues with his wrists , elbows & shoulders w/ tendonitis because of repetative strain , and furthered by the fact that he doesn’t necessarily follow medical advice , or can’t afford to be sidelined for three - to - six weeks. even with proper preventative measures & care ——— which we know is ultimately hit or miss with clint ——— the sheer physicality and intensity of his job dictates repetative rotator cuff strain isn’t unlikely : these muscles are under constant strain simply for drawing his bow & holding the weight for increments , which has , over the years , led to fatigue and tears and general inflammatory pain. his body is , by nature , perpetually under a relatively unusual strain.
* synovitis from strain of soft tissue in the elbows & pain of the extensor muscles on either side , where they attach to the bone , which can mean swelling and pain around the elbow , and can contribute to difficulty moving. it’s likely occurring with arthritis , and ( though it can be treated incrementally with injections of anti - inflammatory drugs ) contributing , ultimately , to the deterioration of the joint.
* in competitive archers —— and so , doubly in clint’s case , for physicality and circumstance , upper limb nerves are at risk of pathological changes induced by inherent repetitive stresses ; in clint’s case , he’s looking at , in general , sensory loss in the thumb , index finger , long finger , and the radial aspect of the ring finger & certain weakness in pronation / flexation.
* back pain from repetative microtrauma.
* basically you’re looking at a lot of corticosteroid & NSAID injections.
#THESE ARE LITERALLY JUST ? ARCHERY RELATED INJURIES LMAO #THIS IS NOT INCLUDING JOINT ISSUES FROM THE GENERAL REPETITIVE TRAUMA EXPECTED IN SUPERHEROING #& FRANKLY HOW REPETITIVE HEAD INJURY IS PROBABLY AFFECTING HIS DEPRESSION #U KNOW THAT '' BOOM CRACK THE SOUND OF MY JOINTS '' POST THAT'S CLINT.
