in my mind, sha’uri gets the arc given to that woman on thor’s planet?   the one who was able to fight against the control of the goa'uld, who found her freedom.    like, even if they were determined to kill her, they did not allow her to have a moment as herself during the entire run of the show (like, except on the pilot and the dream sequence in her death episode)   but the latter is barely...  does she talk about her experience?    connect to daniel on a personal level?   no, she is there to move the plot along, the writing does not give her an inch to exist as a human being and that’s!!! insane!!

i just think daniel is neat. he suffers, he bleeds, he is a nerd, after eight years he is absolutely done with everything and everyone. and he still loves archeology, that's still what he wants to do. that's what he considers fun, his passion for ancient worlds doesn't abate.
