Kurt bit back a small smile, and although it didn’t really reach his eyes, it was a small, mild warm remembrance at the way they used to tease each other in the past, just for the fun of it, and knowing in their hearts neither meant any harm by doing. “They will be, if you don’t do something about it. I’ll ask Sam if I can leave a small pot for you, so you can apply a few little dots to those baggies under your eyes.” Sleepless nights, no doubt, he thought to himself, probably thinking on what his life had been, especially on those days, when almost everyone from the past was there. There was something about his body language that told Kurt the other man preferred to be anywhere else, and with anyone else, than with him; but he didn’t have the courage to back down now. “Very well” he said, determined more than ever not to show how much all of it was getting to him, and he stood up and fixed his shirt down. “You need to show me the way though. I don’t know where that place is.”
Archer rolled his eyes good-naturedly. “Yeah, yeah, whatever,” he said, waving off Kurt’s concerns... though he really would like it if his friend would leave the cream or whatever it was with Sam for him. “I don’t think he’d have any issue with you giving him something for me.” He rubbed at the back of his neck as he stood up, and he nodded in the direction of the Evans House. “It’s not too far out,” he said. “Walking distance. I’m guessing you didn’t find another Mustang to rent or anything.”
