Jon reads a statement about some hunt avatar werewolf in america tracking people for Fun and then letting one of them leave alive and just goes well thats not my problem and then straight up goes to the same general area in america and guess what happens. guess what happens to him. guess.

wait, did people actually hate web!martin? im not very involved with the fandom so i thought it was just a fun little theory but im seeing post of people being like good ridance or being "glad that web!marting is finally gone" and that "people can finally shut up about it" but like, dude, i thought it was just a harmless theory/headcanon, why do people dislike it so much?

Ok so i never actually got into it all that much and just had some fun and jokes about it, so i may not be the best person to answer this. It is a very popular headcanon so it's natural for a lot of people to get sick of it i guess. But also some of the Web!Martin theories involved things like "Martin is actually manipulating Jon" and generally just kinda putting Martin in an untrustable role. Which, as you can guess, has real ugly implications.

It's not the headcanon itself, it's the way some people used it to say Martin was a bad person i think. And now that it is clear that Martin is not an Avatar of the Web due to his domain being a mix of the Lonely and the Eye, people are just glad that the love we see isn't a manipulation.

Head full of breekon and hope thoughts

Breekon’s statement in 128 was all about his separation from Hope, and he delivered the coffin simply because he didn’t know what else to do. He gave this statement to season 4 Jon, who was desperately missing Martin by this point. Much of season 4 was Jon following dry leads and useless clues because there’s no other option.

Now Breekon’s lamented about he’s more isolated from Hope than ever, because now he can’t even fulfill their purpose as deliverymen. The apocalypse is hell for him despite all the fear.

Breekon’s isolation in season 4 was a parallel to Jon’s in the same season, and now his experience in the apocalypse foreshadows what Jon’s would be like if he lost Martin. The king of a ruined world, but alone.
