Hi everyone!

I've been on Tumblr since about 2011. I made this specific blog in September 2013 when I was a recent high school graduate. I've been wanting to make a fresh start with a new one for a couple years, because I am much closer to being in my 30's now than I am to being a high school student.

Most of the mutuals I made and maintained in the early years of this blog have moved on to greener pastures. I follow a lot of dead accounts that I am too sentimental to unfollow. And while I regularly clear out my likes now (this is where my queued posts come from), there were a few years in those nine where I did not, and I have nearly 10,000 likes I will simply never get through at this point. This is not even touching upon how many untagged and inconsistently tagged post I've had over those nine years, too.

I am also, frankly, a different person than I was at 18. If you go back far enough in my blog, you are not seeing an accurate representation of me at 27, but me at 18, 19, 20, etc. I dislike this, but I am too sentimental to delete these posts.

Beyond that, I no longer use any social media websites outside this one. I'd like to start using this website more how I did in the early '10s, where I'd actually make textposts and use this as an archive since, well, it's one of the few remaining websites that actually functions as an archive instead of some algorithmic nightmare.

This is all just to say: this blog is being retired. I will pin this post and let it sit for awhile, and after a certain amount of time has passed, I will lock this account so that I am the only one able to see it. I've made a new account and I will be using that one from here on. I am not going to say what my new URL is, so please don't ask me for it.

If you followed me solely for my BioWare opinions, @octerminal will remain up. I have transferred ownership of it to my new blog. It is not dead; I have just been busy. Mass Effect is an interest of mine more or less here to stay, and that blog has always been sporadically updated at best, anyway.

If you followed me for, uh, me? then: well, thanks! I will be re-following some of you on my new blog. Don't feel obligated to follow back.

My queue has been cleared out and this will be my last post on this blog. Thanks for the fun times, everyone.

tbh I like creating absolute monster sweeper teams in pokemon games but it’s way more fun to do a lore run and play with only 1-3 pokemon and refuse to obtain any more pokemon outside of that. I highly recommend going into a game blind by creating a character in your head for your protag, sticking with it no matter what, and justifying all of the events that happen in game as part of the lore

one of my favorite pokemon runs was my first pokemon bw2 playthrough where my character was a paralegal who had to find ghetsis to serve him his divorce papers. I used a romhack to get a pawniard as my starter (he was my legal assistant) and a lvl 100 bonsly that I never used the entire game (he was a decorative houseplant I received as an office gift and I wasn’t aware he was a pokemon). I used exclusively mr charlie for every single fight for every single wild pokemon and trainer in the game 😭 it was very fun

Pokemon Diamond or Pearl run where I am a local limnologist (lake studyer) and I am on a quest to personally beat the shit out of Cyrus for the lake he blew up. My only pokemon would be Magikarp (rescued from the lake), Buizel (my starter), and Psyduck (not even my pokemon he just also wants to beat up Cyrus)
