CARAVAGGIO, PAINTINGS
Hello! This might be a little random but I feel like I've been reblogging and liking your posts a lot recently, and the most recent Big Eden / Heated Rivalry reblog really just hammered home the specificity of shared interests that we all come across on this website! I think I started following you during Ted Lasso times (already looking forward to that resurgence in August), but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate getting to see things like Big Eden and Big Eden/Heated Rivalry parallels on my dashboard because of you! I have also absolutely loved your meta and media analysis around Heated Rivalry, so I feel like this message is just an overdue thanks and appreciation for your blog!
Not random at all, and I’m so happy to hear this! I love Big Eden a lot and have always maintained that if mainstream America/the world had at all been ready for an interracial gay romance in 2000, it would now hold the same status as Nora Ephron’s rom-coms do, where we all agree that it belongs to a canon of the caliber of romances they truly don’t make anymore. And while Heated Rivalry is obviously very different from Big Eden in a lot of ways, it’s really been the first time I’ve felt that, actually, that is something a mainstream audience is fully ready to embrace. It’s nice to hear that you like my Heated Rivalry rambling too, especially since I haven’t really found my space in this fandom yet and it sometimes feels a little bit like I’m screaming into the void whenever I yap about it.
I’m also very happy to hear that you followed me back when this blog was mostly Ted Lasso because there is a strong likelihood that I’ll go a little bit ham on here if my show returns to give me football lesbians.

No Children rules unbelievably on its own merits but it rules especially as the 7th track on Tallahassee. Right in the middle of this horror story there's a lively tongue-in-cheek duet that sounds like it's being played in a bar and it's horrible but it's all fun and romantic and then you have 7 songs left and two of them are See America Right and Oceanographer's choice. Greatest album ever written.
