"You sleep in for ONE Eternian Day and your Master claims a new body and apparently discovers that an old enemy of mine is a member of his species.”
“Wonderful.”

“So? It worked, didn’t it?” the shrapnel from the explosion was definitely inhibiting Atlas’s movement, “And you did say, ‘don’t hold back’.”
Black-and-White walked over to the earth bot, doing a quick scan, “… And I’d stay down if I were you, there’s some shrapnel in some pretty dangerous places if you jolted around too much. The point of these matches isn’t to kill the opponent, it’s just to fight.”
“Then why attack me with that? The fight’s over too soon! I still need to smash stuff…” Well this was humiliating. He should have put his shield up.
Now what was he going to do? His opponent had told him that shrapnel was in critical places and it would be bad for him to move about. Could he trust that though? He certainly felt like shrapnel was jammed in him. How would he get repaired this time? The only person he had trusted just betrayed him. That’s why he was here.
“Had I had been any of these other biomechs, I’d have taken you out before giving you the chance to blink,” Black-and-White crouched, “And normally I would have at least tried to. To be completely honest, I panicked with that last move and forgot you aren’t a Biomech,” he gave a nervous chuckle, “... If uh.. You don’t have a repairs or something I know someone.”

Katy wouldn’t miss this crystal shooter she has millions of them. He set the device to overload, putting as much of the excess energy he had into it, and chucked it at Atlas before ducking and rolling to the side.
“Not really. Just evaluating.”
Well that wasn’t good. The overloading gun smacked Atlas and exploded. The force flung him to the ground with a thud. He started getting up on his elbows, but slower than he would have liked.
“Cheap shot.”

“What’s the matter? Tired already?” he taunted.
Atlas jetted about to dodge the blasts. One hit his let, but he didn’t need that to fight. He was flying. The red robot morphed his arm into a cannon and fired a blast at his opponent.

“Well then, if you insist,” Black-and-White said casually, rolling his head as his armor clicking into it’s proper place for battle. He’d heard from Katy that Atlas generated plasma, so he wasn’t all that concerned of being damaged as he was of overcharging. He was going to have to move fast unless he wanted to overload and crash.
“You first.”
“If you insist!” he shouted as he charged plasma around his body. He unleashed a large blast in his opponents direction. Atlas was not in the mood to start light and build up his attacks. He was just going to unleash his full power.
Yeeeeep that looked powerful. Black-And-White jumped up throwing a shield over himself. He’d forgotten his defence was weaker without Ivy backing it up.
Warning: access energy.
He landed, with more force than he’d intended, “No, really, warning system? I had no idea.”
He pulled a crystal shooter out of his warp pocket and started firing at Atlas.
Stress Relief
“Don’t you worry about how far from home I am! I’m here to fight, not chat! And you don’t be holding back, ‘cause I won’t!” Atlas was ready to fight. He’d probably take on Omega if he was here. That’s how angry he was.

Corruption pulled out a much fancier warper than what Katy used from her cloak and input the coordinates before giving it to Atlas.
“Here you go.”
Atlas took it, neglecting to thank her. He fiddled with it until he got it to warp him. He was gone now.
Corruption waited a few minutes before warping after him.
“Oi, did a human robot come through here and challenge anyone? I would like to watch that match.”
The tank-like biomech she’d addressed jerked his head in the direction of the doors.
“Two newbies came in and challenged each other. One of ‘em definitely wasn’t Biomech.”
“Newbies? Hmph. I was hoping he’d challenge someone I knew. Oh well a fights a fight I guess,” she sighed, walking in that direction.
Outside, Black-and-White was debating on letting Atlas win the first few matches before getting serious or to just knock out the Earth bot and take him home before too much damage was done.
“You’re an awfully long way from home, kiddo.”
Stress Relief
Corruption jetted over to him, doing a few circles around him to slow down and not run into him, “I have a planet completely dedicated to destroying out of frustration. Uninhabited by easily squishable beings. The beings that do live there are always up for a fair, anger venting brawl. I could give you a hand held warper and the coordinates if you wanted.”
“Sure! Destroying these asteroids just isn’t doing it. I’m not feeling any better.” Atlas was so angry, he wasn’t thinking properly. Oh the things that could go wrong.

“Most entities are like that… Their livelihood is so much more important than their friends, family, and creations that the forget to even pretend.”
“I say you should just forget humans altogether. I did much better off once I’d gotten over the Sabanyt.”
“I am. I’m not trusting one ever again. They’re not worth it. My father put his company before me and I died because of it. My gang turned on me completely the second they learned I had become a robot. And now Livian. I just… I just can’t anymore!” He rammed right into another asteroid, shattering it.

“Well there’s no need to get angry at me. I’m assuming it wasn’t miss goodie too shoes? No. She cut her connection to me off once she finally got rid of the Chaotic that I’d given her so she wouldn’t have the guts to do it. So a human then? Never trust anyone from the species that built you- that’s a lesson I learned~”
“I never used to trust humans but I was starting to trust this one. She was nice to me, even repaired me after Chaotic busted me up. She even threw me a mini birthday party with my favorite cake! It was all a front. She never care about me! Just her stupid job!”

The drifter Biomech watched amused.
“Break up with someone, ‘bot boy? Or you just felt like ruining the place the Programmer usually parks her ship when it’s not parked on earth?”
Atlas let fly a bolt of plasma in her direction. He was not in the mood for chitchat.
“For your information, I was betrayed by someone I thought was my friend!”

Atlas wasn’t able to control his anger and it wouldn’t subside. He had to find an outlet fast before he did something rash. Atlas hijacked yet another shuttle, which was rash anyway, and flew out to the asteroid belt. He didn’t even care if his father noticed the missing shuttle this time.
The red robot exited the shuttle and flew out to the asteroids. He then began unleashing his powers on the suspended rocks. He broke up asteroids with blasts of plasma. It felt good to destroy but he didn’t feel any better about Livians betrayal.
Atlas then started to charge a plasma field around his whole body and forcefully ram into the asteroids.
The drifter Biomech watched amused.

“Her programed name is ‘Solitude’. She only goes by Salvation because Programmer refused to call another biomech by a state of mind.”
“I see. I did not know that.”
Corruption crossed her arms again, “I’d rather not. Her… Current required companion… Has an extreme dislike of any machinery that she considers has a chance of replacing her role- even if it is an illogical choice.”
“I’m guessing you’re talking about Salvation. She doesn’t like me either, because I’m a “mortal”.”
“Her programed name is ‘Solitude’. She only goes by Salvation because Programmer refused to call another biomech by a state of mind.”
My favorite kind of villains are the ones that you can understand. Not agree with, not like, but understand. You’re frightened by their actions in a really visceral way because you realize that, in the wrong circumstances, you might become a monster too.
The scariest type of monsters are the ones that seem human and familiar.
