i know the character was based off of blobby, but does Mr Bonzo have any correlation at all to the monkey that nearly strangled Ronald Reagan in the film Bedtime for Bonzo?
Afraid not. The name was picked for its similarity to Blobby. Then I did a research dive to see if there were any legal complications tied to the name. I discovered this anecdote, a few old music bands, a couple of locations and a bunch of small indy artists using iterations but nothing that would be affected by us using the name. You'd be surprised how many checks we have to do for something like that. Sometimes I fear Jonny may have a point just calling everyone Bob, Geoff, Matt or whatever.
Well now I am entirely intrigued as to what some alternative names for our Boy were, if any...
