location: ministry public safety & defense classesÂ
status: open
Harry walked around the large room the Ministry had given him to give classes in, making sure he had the supplies he needed and that the room could accommodate the intimidating number of people who had signed up. It was his third such walk, born of a nervousness to teach. Sure, heâd led the DA, but this was a different thing entirely. Harry had begged his supervisors for these classes for ages, it would be mortifying to screw it up now.Â
Checking his watch, Harry thought he had another 15 minutes before people started showing up. He turned to the large chalkboard and began writing up some basic information, like the title of the class and the rough itinerary for the evening. Harry focused on making his writing legible, knowing how poor it was even on paper. The door to the makeshift classroom opened off to his side, and Harry called out without looking away from the board. âWelcome to the public defense and safety classes,â he greeted. âFeel free to grab a chair, weâll get started in a bit.âÂ
even though she wasnât friends with any who had mysteriously disappeared, pansy was relieved when it was announced that they had returned home safely. it couldâve easily been her, pansy realized one night. how safe were they really? it seemed to her that it was easy to fall prey to those who were ready to inflict harm at a moments notice and the thought of disappearing and the possibility of no one caring enough to look for her began to bother pansy. so here she was, mentally preparing herself to walk into the room that would house her and others as they learned how to protect themselves from the dangers outside the walls. pansy didnât really want to be here. she was embarrassed, to say the least, and she wasnât sure why. perhaps she saw it as a sign of weakness â that she couldnât even protect herself without the help of harry potter? pansy didnât speak as harry greeted her, opting to find a seat quietly and without any fuss.Â

location: leaky cauldron !! status: open !!Â
He didnât usually drink. He knew better than to drink. Whenever he drank, his occlumency was shite. However, after the shift that heâd had at St. Mungoâs there was absolutely no way he was going to remain sober. It was one of the shifts where everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. No matter what he did, there was something else that went wrong. A patient refused for him to be their healer because of the things that heâd done. That was a common occurrence. Usually, he didnât let it get to him, but it had bothered him today for some reason. Draco threw the first glass of firewhiskey back without much restraint. He enjoyed the burning in his throat. He nursed the second and was now starting on his third. The walls in his mind were still there - just a little bit wobbly.Â
The blonde sneered, though, whenever he felt someoneâs presence at his side. How annoying. âAre you going to speak or are you going to sit there and stare all evening? Spit it out.â
pansy had a feeling of tiredness and paranoia about her, but made the decision to grace the leaky cauldron with her presence anyway. the girl had hopes of finding someone cute to go home with but with her luck lately, she knew it wasnât likely. lonely was the best way to describe her life. a routine of work and home was killing her â pansy enjoyed the time she was getting to spend on her personal hobbies but the lack of socializing was beginning to get to her. her arrival to the leaky cauldron instantly perked up her mood and when she spotted her friend, she couldnât help the smile that formed on her face that was instantly slapped away with dracoâs demeanor.âis it a requirement for you to be an asshole at least once a day?â pansy said to her friend, taking her place next to him.

Daphne quickly flew up the steps behind Pansy, excited with the prospects of a gossip session. The last time theyâd had time to talk was the girlâs night out they had planned before the midsummer celebration and if she was being honest Daphne was missing her Pansy time. Her focus had been on Theo so much the past few months that she felt like she was neglecting her best friend a bit, hopefully, Pansy didnât feel the same or at least wasnât hurt by it. She should stop by her desk in the Ministry more often. Maybe she should even hang a picture of Pansy behind her desk! That would surely still prove that she was important to her. âHow was your festival? We didnât have much time to talk. I swear I got lost in the tropical gardens for hours. That place is like a maze,â she rambled. She wanted to give Pansy time to talk about herself and for them to catch up before she went into her own dramatics.
âdealing with octavia flint put quite a damper on the day, but i shouldnât have been surprised,â pansy told her with a small laugh. sure, pansy ignored the dress code but octavia acted like it was the end of the world for doing so. one might think that the girl would understand due to her career, but apparently not. âiâll admit â seeing roman was nice, but iâd be lying if i didnât say the whole thing felt slightly awkward.â pansy still couldnât believe a marriage between the two was happening. it bothered her, but she had no plans of letting anybody in on her true feelings. âare you going to the wedding?â she wondered, attempting to mask her real thoughts on the entire situation.Â
romanaveryâ:
Merlin she was beautiful, standing there, scowling like that at him. Or were there two of her now? He was losing track. He knew pretty much immediately that heâd splinched himself, and by Pansyâs reaction it had been quite bad. âIâm here- fuck- can i explain laterâ he winced as she did something to slow the bleeding, he hadnât had enough alcohol do deal with this kind of pain. âInside sounds like a brilliant idea. Yesâ with her assistance he stood up, and followed her lead inside the apartment. âThis wasnât quite how I wanted this to goâ he hissed as the movement jostled his apparently very injured shoulder. Heâd ballsed this up completely.Â
if you had told pansy that this would be how her night turned out, she wouldâve scoffed and gone back to her own business. all she wanted was to drown in a bottle of wine and not worry about what was lurking outside, but that didnât seem to be in the cards for her. pansy led roman to her couch, sitting him down but remaining standing herself. pansyâs shock was taken over by worry as she said accio and grabbed the bottle of dittany that zoomed her way. as she began to apply the aid onto his shoulder, her hands shook slightly due to nervousness and pansy took a deep breath. green vapors rose from the wound as the dittany began to work, his flesh no longer showing an open gash. âhow is that? are you still in pain?â a tinge of worry was laced in her tone.Â
rowleingâ:
âFigure of speech, Pansy Parkinson,â he justified his phrasing. âI did not forget what weâre gathering here for. I even got my quill with me. The lucky one.â Sebastian followed her inside without her determination, but with a peace of mind that he knew would get a few good words on his parchment soon. âWhat are you writing today? Do you feel inspired?"Â
pansy sat down, pursing her lips. âiâm trying to get inspiration from this cherry wine iâve been sipping on for a bit,â she explained. âiâve got this idea for a thriller type thing if youâre interested to hear.â pansy normally enjoyed writing stories that centered around romance, which her story idea she was tossing around was as well you could say, but she wanted to put a twist on it this time around.Â
parvatieshaâ:
Looking at them from the outside, it was tempting to assume that Parvati was the self-sufficient twin, while Padma was the dependent one. But anyone who knew Parvati well, knew that she depended on Padma as much as Padma depended on her. She was the slow and steady to Parvatiâs impulsiveness, the pause and consider that balanced Parvatiâs leaping without looking. Without Padma, Parvati inevitably ended up doing something like going through the trash outside an apartment building where she knew a lot of wealthy purebloods, the kind of purebloods who might have taken Padma, lived. She wasnât sure what she was looking for, she shied away from the mental image of a blood soaked scrap of yellow saree, but as she used her wand to sort through the garbage from a safe distance, it felt good to be doing something. She didnât even realize how much noise she was making until Pansy came out. She was unphased by the wand in her face, largely because she recognized the woman behind it. Pansy Parkinson was a force to be reckoned with, to be sure, but not in a duel. âGo back inside Pansy, this has nothing to do with you.â
pansy and parvati had been friends when they were children â of course, everything changed when the two arrived at hogwarts, were sorted into their respective houses, and pansy adopted the persona she wore throughout her time at school. at the time, she felt like it was going to be the only way she could survive in the place the first thing that came to pansyâs mind was this: what the hell was parvati doing here?  âit has something to do with me when you disturb my evening with all of your noise,â pansy spat. âare you going through our trash?â pansy had no idea what the fuck parvati was doing, but she was ready to do what she could to make her stop.Â
rowleingâ:
âDo you want the truth or do you want to still think Iâm essentially the best?â Sebastian checked, though it was not difficult to guess, considering the fact that he had his wand in his hand, waved as the exterior trash can got picked up by magic and all the spilled garbage was levitating back inside. âBut to answer your question punctually, perhaps more than one thing is wrong with me. But none of those things is being late to our little book club.â Granted, it wasnât a book club rather than just a meeting to talk about writing, but stillâŚ
she was happy to see her friend in front of her â thanking merlin it wasnât someone or something dangerous. with everything going on, pansy jumped at almost every loud noise lately. she thought it made her extra vigilant. at his explanation, pansy snorted. âbook club? what are we, a pair of old witches ready to discuss the new romance novel?â pansy sashayed back inside, yelling a âiâm ready to talk writing so come on in!â and gathering her recent manuscripts into one pile.Â
ofdcphneâ:
Daphne was doing her usual amount of sneaking around, looking both ways as she made her way to Pansyâs place. Though sheâd ditched the headscarf and the sunglasses, she was dressed considerably plainer taking a book out of Theoâs closet and wearing all brown. It was a bit strange and a little different compared to her usual brighter colors but she liked to think of it as a fun game. Almost like how she found the journey from her apartment to Pansyâs.
She was almost at her destination, she could see the door in sight when Daphne accidentally lost her balance and ran into a bunch of trash bins knocking them over. Apparently, it had been loud enough to get the whole streetâs attention and when Pansy came flying out of her door Daphne let go of the trash lid she had picked up letting out another loud bang. âPansy!â She squealed in delight. âI was just coming to see you! I have a lot of news you just have to know.â
her heart rate slowed down almost immediately when she realized who had made all the noise. pansy rolled her eyes at her friends dramatics with a smile on her face, happy to see daphne â especially with the promise of news or gossip. âcome on, then! iâve got a glass of wine with your name on it,â pansy told her, heading back inside and pouring daphne some cherry wine. âitâs cherry though, i hope you donât mind.â she wondered what the news could be about â new job? boyfriend? girlfriend? affair? it was honestly a toss up when it came to daphne. pansy took her seat back on the couch followed by a deep drink of the alcohol., eagerly awaiting whatever daphne had to tell her.Â
romanaveryâ:
16 days. 16 days until he was a married man. 16 days until Roman had Octavia around 24/7. Heâd managed to convince himself so far that it was a good idea, that the engagement would turn into something good. But heâd had a moment of self pity, a moment that had turned into an empty bottle of firewhiskey. Then his mind had turned to his other relationships, and the main one on his mind was Pansy. Pansy, the only girl he actually had loved. Maybe would ever love. He had to see her. Stumbling to grab another bottle of firewhiskey and with his wand in his hand he apparated to Pansyâs place. âFuck!â he yelled out as soon as he landed, and it became very clear in his drunken stupor that heâd splinched his right shoulder and it was bleeding a fair amount already. His feet were not as steady as heâd hoped, and in the pain and haze of alcohol he went to lean against the door and completely fell on his arse, knocking over the umbrella stand. Suddenly Pansy was standing in front of him yelling, she was beautiful when she was angry. âHeya Pans, how are you this fine fine evening?â
roman was the last person pansy was expecting to see when she flung her door open. âroman? what are you doing here?â and then she noticed the fact that her former lover was missing his right shoulder and losing blood at a slightly alarming rate. well, fuck. âokay, iâve got you,â she said, bending down and immediately got to fixing his mistake. pansy could tell heâd ingested quite a bit of alcohol as the smell of his breath hinted firewhiskey. the bleeding began to slow down and â ugh, she had blood on her hands â she said, âletâs get you inside, yeah?â pansy needed to get him inside so nobody else saw the fact that she was occupying a bleeding man on her doorstep. and she was pretty certain she had dittany somewhere thanks to her mother worrying all the time. she went to his left side, attempting to help him up and lead him indoors. âcan you walk?âÂ
open to all
with the news of the azkaban breakout, pansy was refusing to go anywhere unless it was work. she wasnât going to fall prey to any of those who could easily have her at their mercy. as much as she wanted to believe she could handle a serious confrontation where her life was at stake, that simply wasnât the case and she wouldnât let that happen. it probably wouldnât hurt for her to attend one of those training sessions with potter, but she just hadnât done so yet and she didnât want to go alone. if she could drag theo or daphne or draco with her, then it would be a different story. right now, pansy was slightly tipsy on her couch, pouring her third glass of cherry wine when she heard a large crash outside of her flat. getting up and yanking open the door with her wand at the ready, pansy yelled at the culprit of the nuisance. âwhat the hell is wrong with you?â
astoriacgreengrassâ:
âI think your nameâs nice.â She knew that the connotations with the name werenât the most positive ones, but she doubted anyone ever dared to make fun of Pansy Parkinson by calling her a pansy. If they did that they surely didnât get to do it a second time. âThey were supposed to be, but theyâre in France for a love day wedding one of Mamanâs friends is having.â
âthat sounds like a lot of fun, honestly. probably a bit more fun than this.â itâs not that pansy wasnât having a good time â she was used to these events and she enjoyed how classy they made her feel, but part of her was just over it which was weird for pansy. she used to thrive at functions and enjoy the eyes that were on her. what was on her mind right now? being in a nightgown and writing; paired with a huge glass of wine, of course. were her priorities starting to change? she didnât want to think about it. âso do you think weâre actually safe here this time?âÂ
romanaveryâ:
Whilst Roman knew the marriage to Octavia was an advantageous one, and that he was hardly the first pureblood man to get married to someone he didnât have feelings for, in speaking with Pansy he couldnât help but feel a little disappointed about his indifference with it all. âThose people tend to be in love.â he said with a teasing smirk. âYou do have that tendencyâ he chuckled, and sipped at his champagne. It had always surprised him that Pansy did have such a hopeless romantic side, you wouldnât pick it from how she presented herself around strangers.Â
roman wasnât wrong. as much as pansy hated the thought of being in a committed relationship with anyone, she also craved a sense of intimacy and held a spot in her heart for romance. canât have your cake and eat it too. pansy hadnât been in a serious relationship since the two of them broke up and sheâd been happy â most of the time. pansyâs expression faltered ever so slightly, but she recovered with a smile. âiâm sure youâll be a big, happy family in no time, roman. i told octavia she caught a good one and iâm never wrong.âÂ
thoughtnottâ:
Theodore was already walking in the direction of the drinks, despite having told himself earlier this morning he would take it easier than he had in years past, when Pansyâs words caused him to turn around. âI thought they just worked together? Are they here together?â If they were, that was certain to get the gossip mill started. Susan wasnât a pureblood. What was Wade thinking being so obvious about something like that at the event that was functioning as his own brotherâs engagement announcement. In his own pity party, Theodore had completely forgotten that today might be a difficult day for Pansy. Roman was her ex-boyfriend, though he didnât know if she still held any feelings for the older boy. âIs today strange for you?â
pansy nodded. âthey arrived together so iâm assuming they are. iâm itching to find out more later when i âaccidentallyâ -â pansy put up air quotes around accidentally â- run into him later.â pansy was looking forward to hearing about how the two of them fell into a happy little relationship. at theodoreâs last question, she sighed and refused to look him in the eye. not being in love with someone anymore apparently didnât make it easier when they become engaged. âi think iâm fine. if i told you how much i dislike octavia flint though, would you think terribly of me?â
flintoctaviaâ:
âI wasnât referring to other people just now. I was talking about the fact that it gives me the impression that you were being inconsiderate. You are one of us, pureblood, you should know better. Look at all those other people in attendance today, even they managed to follow the dress code, even if some of their outfits scream lack of taste at least they understood how important it was to wear the right colors.â She didnât say traitors on purpose, knowing other people could listen in on their conversation. âOf course everyoneâs attention is on me today. It is my engagement party in case youâve forgotten. Donât be offended if you wonât be in any pictures of tonight.âÂ
âyou should know better.â would it be in bad taste to slap the woman everyone was honoring today? pansy had to refrain so she chose to use her words instead. stepping a little closer to octavia and looking her in the eye. âi think... that being a pureblood gives me the chance to wear whatever iâd like to wear. iâm a huge fan of people being able to express themselves the way they see fit. if you wanted me to be honest, iâd tell you that your shoes seem like theyâd be worn by my grandmother and the slit on the front of your dress is slightly distasteful, but iâd never dream of doing so.â pursing her lips, pansy took a deep drink and sighed in content. âlovely choice of champagne. where on earth did you get it?â
flintoctaviaâ:
âNot everyone can pull off white as well as I do. Itâs the natural tan. There were many other colors you could choose from. Even yellow since you seem to be so fond of it, but not such an intense and garrish shade. Sticking out of the crowd doesnât make you look presentable, it makes it look like you did not put the effort in to read the invitationâŚâ Octavia trailed off, her tone faux understanding despite the fact that she thought Pansy was trying to steal her thunder. She supposed she understood, if her ex boyfriend got married she would try to look her best too, but she would still follow the dress code.
pansy had to fight the urge to roll her eyes.she should have worn black just to piss of octavia a little bit more. she didnât have a problem with the older girl â even after she found about her and roman, pansy wasnât even upset about the flint and averyâs becoming a big happy family. although, the news did make her heart hurt. she couldnât deny that. if only pansy had been older and ready to get married, this wouldnât be happening. âiâm sure people donât mind as everyoneâs attention is on you and the events today,â pansy said, her voice sweet.Â
wadeaveryâ:
As Pansy vouched for herself, Wadeâs lips curled into a coy smile. Once she was done, Wade let out a small whistle to show he was impressed. âWell, well, well. Now, I know another secret of yours. With talent like that you have to show me now.â He did a feign bow at her, grinning as he summoned the broom back to his hand. In an innate way, he threw his leg over the broom and ascended up to meet her. âLoser gets to have the last of Gregoryâs stash. And if that doesnât seem inviting then we can wager something else.â
âthat sounds more than acceptable,â pansy told him. âletâs do this thing.â quickly, she placed a spell on her hair as to not let a strand move an inch and flew over toward her side of the goalposts. and pansy wouldnât lie, she was slightly nervous. she knew other people were watching and normally that wouldnât matter, but a part of her felt like she was being judged and she hated the feeling.Â
