Today would have been the 16th birthday of my sweet pup. The emptiness he left behind doesn't allow space for proper words. So I just want to thank everyone who contributed to remembering him with their beautiful tributes.

I adore them, and each and every one was accompanied by so much kindness and understanding, and I couldn't thank you enough.

Many of you share this same pain, and I just hope, whatever lies beyond, that we'll be seeing them someday. 💙 I cried looking at these beautiful drawings, but I also smiled. Finally, my very first Artfight Attack! This one is to @bialejaja! Boy was Kallamar fun to rig! I think he's one of the first bipedal character rigs I've truly poured a lot of effort into, with smart bones and actions! I tried my best to give him a Vogue style catwalk, with the high-heels and a cigarette! I hope I get to make more character rigs/animations this artfight, though I am worried I won't get as many attacks due to how much longer these animations take to make than normal drawings. But who knows, maybe I'll master it by the end of this month! I am Arctic Animations after all!

Anyways, thanks @bialejaja for your patience and for your awesome artwork that you made for me!!! Your Kallamar was awesome to animate!!

Finally got a character sheet made! I'm looking forward to posting this on artfight! Oh, and now I think it's time to reveal Angel's true name: Annavi! She has the beginning of a script for her too. I might share a piece of it someday, but likely not for a while. I don't want to spoil too much of this project!

Got more Battle Droid photos in New Zealand! It was really fun to take these! I unfortunately don't live in New Zealand anymore, I recently finished my studying and came back to Alaska. I'll be personal for a sec and admit that I really miss New Zealand, it was a phenomenal place to live and I really loved it! And if circumstances had been different, I would have been happy to stay there more permanently. But nevertheless, I'm very glad I got that experience, and I really hope to go back some day!!

Got a new look for myself! I recently decided to finally join artfight and a made a new persona for myself! I decided to go with a snowy white moose for me, keeping in theme with my homeland of Alaska and my "arctic" roots!

Oh, and here's my artfight profile! It's "Arctic-Animations" on Artfight! It's not super flashy, but I think it gets me across! If you want to attack me go right ahead! I only have my Shamura posted right now, but rest assured, I will be adding more characters later on! And I'll also be sure to make attacks of my own too!

I'm super excited for this! I was very sad to miss it last year, so I really wanted to participate! I hope everyone has a wonderful time!

Surprise! I redrew Angel as a Cult of the Lamb follower for the Cult of the Lamb server event! It was honestly super fun drawing her in a different style, so much so that I've actually started making a small character sheet for her as well! For those on discord, you'll notice I haven't actually posted her there yet. That's because I'm going to finish the sheet before I actually submit her to the contest! But for now, you guys get a sneak peak of what I've made so far! I hope y'all enjoy! And best of luck to everyone also making Follower OCs! They all look awesome!

Howdy everyone! It's been quite a while since I've posted any fanart. This is my submission for @cotl-yoa and their awesome @the colt zine! This time I drew Shamura closer to their Canon appearance, with red eyes and purple fur. Also, fuzziness has returned!

I look forward to making more submissions for the Colt Zine! So far it's been super awesome, and I love being part of the community!

Hey everyone! I'm not dead I promise, just going through my last week of classes! I thought I'd share one of my class projects. I created a kind of experimental animation where I made traditional paintings instead of online vector art. This video is my first time testing this style. I really like how good the paintings turned out after cropping and modifying the colors. But there's still areas where I want to improve, such as using proper meshes for the northern lights, making the camera movement more natural and adding sound so the environment feels more alive.

I'm planning to redo this video after my classes end, but for now please enjoy this first draft!

I've finally gotten Angel to walk, yipee!

This walk was tricky but worth it! To make it, I relied heavily on advice from the book "The Animator's Survival Kit" by Richard Williams. He had awesome tips on animating walks, including a page on animating dogs! I highly recommend his book if you want to get into animating, because it's SUPER helpful! And I look forward to sharing more animation with Angel!

YAY I'VE FINALLY ANIMATED ANGEL!!

Man, I'm so happy how far I came, this was really difficult to pull off. First, I had to redo Angel's rig again (twice), hence the reason she looks so different from her previous appearance. Then I got the IK Handles working which was fantastic. But the final part of putting a smart bone on her face so she could turn it left to right was way harder than I thought, essentially I had to create multiple layers and kinda shift them around in the action timeline to achieve this effect. I wouldn't say I am finished with this model, there's still way more I'd like to modify to make her better. But still, I'm happy that I'm slowly making progress, and it gives me joy to see that I am learning!

So I thought I'd share a screenshot of something AWESOME I've been working on! This is Angel, an OC of mine! She looks horrifying but she actually is a sweetheart and a very good girl! Wholesome horror as I like to call it, haha! Right now, her rig is not finished. Her bones aren't parented correctly and there isn't any smart bones, meaning that right now, she can only face one direction. Also, I built her in such a way that instead of having just one skeleton to manipulate, she's actually a whole bunch of skeletons grouped together, which makes her super complicated to animate. So long story short, I still have to work on her. But when she's finished, I'm going to animate her doing something and share the result with yall! Probably animate her like an adorable puppy because yes!

Thank you three so much for giving my commissions a chance and being my first clients, I'd been putting off opening them because it felt intimidating whenever I thought about it. But honestly these were all very pain-free and enjoyable drawing experiences, not even sure what I was so worried about! PLUS even if I can draw non cotl related stuff, I definitely appreciated getting to draw more for this fandom hahaha. Enjoy the art, and I will see everybody once I'm far enough in the DLC to not be afraid of spoilers!!

So today I thought I would draw one of my absolute favorite characters of all time, General Grievous, in one of my absolute favorite art styles of all time, NEON! The design turned out more simplistic than I had planned because, it seems drawing in neon is harder than it looks. Ah well, I'm glad I was able to practice this today! That is, of course the only way to improve! And I do hope to draw more of this awesome guy and other Star Wars characters that I really like! I feel like that's a side of me that I really haven't shared with y'all yet, despite literally having a Star Wars profile pic, lol

So I tried out drawing Narinder for the first time. You might be wondering why he's purply and skeletony rather than his usual self. Well, I had remembered his lore about how he rebelled against Shamura by reviving the dead, and further, how sometimes when you resurrect your own followers, they can sometimes come back as cursed entities. Well, I decided to theme my Nari very closely to a cursed entity because I think it kinda fits and I love undead things! I haven't decided for sure yet if I'd like him to become cursed after the schism with his siblings or if I'd prefer he always have this form. Still got to think a bit more about his character. But anyways, enjoy my first draft of Narinder!
