How would you and your f/o's lives overlap?

It's a bit of a stranger question, wording wise, but I digress. I think Terezi and I wouldn't collide very often in our day to day lives, atleast organically. I spend the majority of my day sailing, while she's unemployed to say. I believe we'd message eachother often, she does snapchat John in the epilogues, I'm sure she'd do the same to me. And when we eventually find the time to hang out together, after how ever many days, it'll be like we were never apart.

What's something that reminder you of your yume?

Besides the classics (teal, law, libras, etc) the next biggest thing to remind me of Terezi is the sky. Ofcourse she was blinded by the sun, but I also get reminded of her through the stars. She kinda guides me through life, acting as a north star and somebody I can always towards to help me through my issues. No matter the weather, she shines through the clouds like the North star, or a constellation.

My name is Skiffe (the E is silent). I use any pronouns: he, she, they, etc, you can decide. Like a pick your own adventure but its the pronouns and therefore perception you have of me.

My birthday is June 20th, which isn't as far as I think it is as of May 3rd.

My biggest interest is my yumeship with Terezi Pyrope from Homestuck. That ofcourse means I like (and have read) Homestuck. I am, however, NOT a non-sharing yumeshipper. Doubles are welcome, and encouraged to tell me what you like about Terezi.

My other biggest interests include nautical instruments, such as boating, sailing, boats, oceans, and boats some more. Please, talk to me about boats, or Terezi, it'll bring me immense joys.

I also love to write, most of my posts will yumeshipping "prompts", aka a way for me to take time out of my busy schedule and talk about me and Terezi's lovely relationship. I will occasionally post poetry as well, since I like to write them as well. Though those take longer than my daily free writes.

How do yours and your F/O's aesthetic combine?

I think mine and Terezi's aesthetics don't necessarily clash in a bad way, just in a unique way. Terezi's love for law and justice isn't particularly different from my love for boating, both bring fulfillment for those partaking in the activity and to those benefiting of the work of lawyers and sailors respectively. Combing them wouldn't be a strange or crazy twist on either aesthetic, sure it would be new, but outrageous? I think not.

Actually combining the two is what I struggled with, I couldn't decide on prosecutors on ships or sailors in the courtroom. In the end, I decided that the mere concept of justice fits the theming of a military ship. Think of the S.S Justice sailing towards evil, fighting for the rights of the good opposed to the bad. Now, I definitely don't support senseless violence and war, but honoring Terezi's spirit; if it allows justice to prevail, who I am to stop her?

What would a playlist between you and your F/O look like?

I usually listen to exclusively instrumentals, they are my favorite type of song for many reasons, though I won't deep dive into it at the moment. I doubt Terezi would be particularly passionate about instrumental tracks either which way, but I doubt she'd dislike them. I feel as if our playlist would be a nice mix of her rock, very loud music taste, and my more calm, quieter instrumentals. It would definitely be a little unstable mood wise, but what good is a relationship if youre not making some exceptions for the other <:)

What's your favorite scenario to daydream you and your F/O in?

I, ofcourse, love imagining me and Terezi sailing together. Although not mentioned formally in the comics, I've always imagined Terezi would be a fan of boating.

In my dreams, I'm teaching Terezi how to steer a steamboat. I'd have my hands wrapped under her's and I'll be gently guide her left and right. She wouldn't be naturally talented at sailing, but she's a fast learner; before I know it she's steering all by myself. I'd slowly move away from her, admiring not only my teachings but her improvements. Once we anchor onto shore, she'd kiss my cheek and grins with all her might.

"TH4NKS FOR T43CH1NG M3 HOW TO S41L SK1FF3" "o+)h, it's.s no+) pro+)blem. I actually had a great time," I'd smile back at her, my cheeks slightly blushing as she recounts our journey together here. By the end of my fantasies, we're sailing back. Each of us taking turns steering across the ocean. With no other boats in sight, it almost feels like a private world just for me and her. And when she turns back to me, grinning and chuckling at something she thought up, I can't help but smile back.

Imagine you and your F/O here, what would you do?

A break from the grueling ocean which, although dear, is the cause of much stress. I’m calm, and I’m with the light of my life. She’s my lighthouse in the densest fog, and here I can truly embrace her raw beauty. It’s almost carefree, unlike the boating we usually partake in. I make sure to soak in this moment as we gently paddle across the lake, the water glistening in a dreamlike way. Terezi looks beautiful as ever, the surroundings still paling in comparison to her. We don’t need to say anything, we both know we’re exactly where we want to be. Near each other.

What do you and your yume have in common?

Me and Terezi are both super ingulfed in our passions, boating and justice respectively. We also share similar glasses, though I just have poor eyesight. Lastly, I think our relationships are fairly similar. Sometimes I look back on Terezi's troll logs and take her advice when things are rough between me and my friends, she always seems to know how to deal with these situations so confidently. I guess we're not similar in that way, but I think she wouldn't mind all that much. <:)

Yumeship Prompt #002

This one's a little scary, imagine you and your fictional other got shipwrecked together. What would you do?

I would start by softly reminding Terezi that I'm a professional sailor, that I'd surely be able to get us out of any situation dealing with oceans and boats. I'd turn my back towards her, hoping she wouldn't be able to smell the fear lingering on my face, of course she'd be able to. She's always able to tell how I'm feeling no matter how much I try to hide it. She'd place a gentle hand on my shoulder, licking my face in a calming way, a way that makes me forget about the terrible wreck we currently find ourselves in.

I still don't want to worry Terezi however, so I'd stay away from radioing for help. Instead I'd guide Terezi to the ground of the ship. Looking at the sky, and the current wave patterns I turn to her and softly state "I do+)ubt high tid<==e is co+)ming anytim<==e s.so+)o+)n, w<==e might b<==e h<==er<==e for a f<==ew hours.s," I'd try to hide my shame, yet it seeps onto my face. Terezi, as kind as ever, simply smiles and takes out a coin from her pocket "H34DS YOU SH4R3 YOUR PO3MS F1RST, T41LS I W3 HOLD A COURT ROL3PL4Y,"

As the coin flips in the air, all sense of fear fall away from me. As long as I'm with her, nothing could truly go wrong.

Yumeship Prompt #001

Imagine you and your F/O here, what would you do?

I, for one, would lead Terezi through a mystical voyage through the calm lake. We shall find ourselves slowing half a nautical mile east from inhabited island, the type that provides a cooling shade from the scorching dust sunrise. I'd bring my hands in hers, and let her lick the smile from my lips. A soft, quiet kiss would scream the words we both are dying to gift one another "I love you". I'd sit with her, listening to her talk, each rasp acting like an antidote to the woe festering inside of me.

When we eventually have to depart from our float, I'd guide us back towards her treehouse. One last kiss would finalize our voyage, and as she walks away, towards her own adventure, I'd know that soon I'd find myself lying ahull with her once more; for we'd always find each other in the ocean.
