Stings are another means to explore their relationship, have been from the very beginning, and acquired different angles and resounded with different amplitude in both Jane and Lisbon. They enjoy trying on different roles, looking at themselves and each other from another side. As they get closer to revealing their feelings to each other, such situations become more dangerous, more tempting. They say things that they’d like to say in real life, try on roles they’d love to realize and act out situations they’d like to live.

They always have fun together and are in sync, making their partnership work. When they get together, it continues, and they explore the areas they haven’t trodden yet as a couple, with anticipation and curiosity, tentatively, this allows them to understand how it feels, to observe the other’s reaction and keep it in their mind for future reference.

Just because he hates himself doesn’t change the fact that he only thinks about himself. He’s making other people miserable because of his own self loathing. He’s not protecting people because people should be protected, he’s protecting people, against their will in many cases, because he thinks the things he’s done make him obligated to do so. That’s not altruism, that’s egoism.

It’s always about him. Him and only him. All problems are his fault. All solutions are his responsibility. All attempts to do things differently from how he wants them are personal attacks against him.

The man’s ego is BOUNDLESS. Just because it’s also self destructive actually makes it worse, because he’s going to take everything else down with him.

Okay, so I thought I was going to be able to just put out a post like this and then let it go and not mind the commentary, but alas, I can’t. Especially because so much of the commentary seems to be going the same general direction.

Here I’ll engage more substantively with @sailor-arashi and @awa64 (here) because they’re the only ones who bothered to put forth an argument? So let’s go.

you know, shit tony stark whatever you want but let clarify some things because i see y’all dragging robert downey jr for stuff isn’t on him. so first, robert downey jr is an actor, he is not a marvel exec, he is not a marvel producer, he is an actor. so i see you guys using a goddamn article of 2015 that isn’t confirmed to try to “prove” robert pushed marvel to make civil war (i mean, a actor, as famous as he is cannot force a goddamn company that hires them to make it)

so we have the directors saying they decided with kevin and had to WOO robert to do it, we have kevin saying they wanted to do it for a long time, we have robert surprised people think he would force them to make a movie and yet you still blame the actor for being part of a project and doing his job. if you want blame someone blame joe and anthony russo and kevin feige.
