My daughter's Bearded #dragon enjoying some outside basking time. This is in an outdoor reptile grazing area we made. She (beardie) is still a little nervous but hopefully in time she will learn to explore and graze on fresh, healthy, and organic greens. Look at those scales! Here are two species of #insects that are staple food items for our #reptiles. EctoGrubs (black soldier fly #larvae) and Dubia #roaches are simply excellent for your cold-blooded companions. Our EctoGrubs do not require any gutloading (even though we still do it). They naturally have one of the highest calcium:phosphorus ratio when compared to other insects. That means you don't need to dust them with calcium supplements! Exciting update from ARea Reptiles! On Friday, September 30th we had our first Harquahala Mountains locale rosy boas born! It was a big litter with 7 plump and healthy babies. Momma is doing great and ready for a meal, so are the babies for that matter. I am really looking forward and excited for next season! This little noodle finally shed again and graduated up to small mouse fuzzies last night! I wish I had locale information on this one. The Gray Banded Kingsnake (Lampropeltis alterna) is another favorite of mine. Eventually, I would like to start a locale and pattern specific projects.
