i know it might not be your intention, but a lot of your posts do feel targeted against autistic women for just mentioning that their situation could potentially be different than yours

yes! of course! they feel "targeted against autistic women" because it is autistic women that i am... arguing with? it is autistic women who are insistent on derailing women's conversations about and critiques of body hair removal with this individualistic "but some of us need to do it for a separate reason" bullshit.

you've identified the key problem right here in this ask: "their situation could potentially be different than yours." it is not about their situation. it is not about my situation. it is about the issues faced by women in a social landscape that enforces the removal of women's body hair because they are women.

intersectionality is important in feminist discussions! but when the discussion is about the societal pressures on women, and someone derails the conversation by talking about their own internal issues that have nothing to do with oppression, it isn't actually an intersectional argument. intersectionality is about the intersections of axes of oppression. a valid intersectional argument against me criticizing body hair removal could be, like, "as a south asian woman, my body hair is much more noticeable, and i face even more consequences for failing to remove it." or, “as a trans woman, my identity is acknowledged and respected even less if i refuse to engage in feminine beauty practices.” do you see the difference?
