Feasting on strawberries at Baguio is a must. At morning, grab some strawberry flavoured taho on the street. The sweetness of the syrup blends perfectly with strawberries. For dessert, order a slice of your strawberry shortcake at Vizco’s along Session road. You’ll notice that each customers have a slice of the cake so there’s no doubt that it’s their must have dessert here. Not so sweet and no hint of sourness on those chunk of strawberries. A shot perfect for my Instagram. Last but not the least, harvest strawberries at La Trinidad. I enjoy munching the sweetness of it. Are strawberries really this sweet? The taste is fresh and so much different from the ones we bought on the market. Picking these lovely vibrant red strawberries under these heat is worth it.

Dumaguete Adventure

To be honest, before I said “yes’ to this trip I had no idea what’s there to see in Dumaguete. The only thing I know about the city is that it’s located in the Visayan region of the Philippines but nothing more than that. After doing some research, I found out that it’s called as The City of the Gentle People, and truly its name speaks for itself. Locals are very kind and hospitable. Their beaches are clean and mostly untouched. And life’s much simpler and relaxing as compared to the the busy streets of Manila. If someone would ask me if Dumaguete’s worth visiting for, I’d definitely say yes!

Gentle Giants

Only an hour away from Dumaguete, you’ll reach the province of Oslob in Cebu. Recently, the town’s getting more popular with tourists because of their unique whale shark watching attraction. Initially, I had no plans of snorkeling with these giant creatures because I was never really fond of swimming in the ocean especially if there are whale sharks that are as big as a jeep (and they say some are even of a size of a bus). But putting my fears aside, I did manage to jump off the boat and see these cute-slash-scary whale sharks up close. It was definitely one of the most surreal experiences in my life!
