Some headcanons about Conquest x gn!human!reader in a relationship on earth!
Note: He is a certified dad-joke-enjoyer. Also, I love him. Anyways, enjoy!!
Firstly, Conquest has some issues with controlling his own strength at first. Sometimes he grips your wrist too tightly and it bruises, other times he headbutts you on accident while trying to romantically lean down to your height for a kiss. He’s still getting used to moving around in a gentler environment, especially with the intention of trying to be cute.
His body’s temperature adjust according to the season and weather, somehow. Whenever it’s cold, raining and gloomy, his skin gets as hot as a furnace. Perfect to cuddle up with or to take his hands and move his palms under your shirt to warm you up. It’s hot as a devil’s ass outside with the sun beaming down? Conquest’s body naturally cools down and his skin becomes the perfect temperature to lean against and soak in the cool.
At first, Conquest tries to impress you by bringing gifts and offerings. Suddenly there was a Cherry Blossom tree in your yard, freshly picked in Japan, he seems to be very proud to show off. One time, after you mentioned being fond of kittens and felines, there is a whole tiger he wrestles in the kitchen with over a slab of meat. You’re anxiously waiting for a package after ordering online? Conquest finds someone random Amazon order and hands it to you. It’s not your package? Uhhhh… at least it’s the thought that counts?
Finding clothes for him is incredibly hard. Conquest doesn’t mind or care what article of clothing he’s wearing, it’s finding something that fits him that is the hard part. Also, when you try to steal a shirt or button up of his, you can literally style it like a dress.
People on the street often strike up a conversation with your alien partner. Especially grandmas, for some reason “Are you a wrestler?” “What kind of supplements do you take, dude?” “Oh, what a sweetie you are. If only my husband were half as strong as you!” “Cool moustache.” … and so much more. Conquest adores it! People are noticing and acknowledging him (even if it’s harder to not literally see the mountain blocking their sun) and talking to him about his moustache! No one really noticed his efforts to groom himself properly! Folk are even thanking him for lifting a little crate! This planet is awesome!
The next one is based on the new Battelbeast Comic #11 that recently came out.
Conquest surprisingly adjusts quickly to human slang. You don’t know where he learned it, how he managed to understand AND use it appropriately in certain situations. His favourite things to say are “Hell yeah.” and “dude”. Don’t let him discover the brainrot terms plaguing the internet. In fact, don’t introduce him to the internet at all.
He’s such an annoying teaser. If you’re ticklish, Conquest will be sneaking up on you and tickling you relentlessly until you either escape, squirm away or find out where he is ticklish. He eggs you on when you catch your tongue or stumble over a word until you slap him against the arm or threaten to withdraw your hugs (mean!). Conquest will joke and sneak in some puns into his speech, grinning from ear to ear and checking if you realise what he is done, holding back a laugh like a child. Conquest is the happiest whenever he gets to tease you, which is all day every day.
imagine your f/o noticing you’re off before you say anything.
they don’t ask a bunch of questions. they just pull you close, somewhere soft and quiet.
if you’re restless, they let you fidget with them. their hand, their hair, their clothes. if you’re tired, they let you lean into them. no pressure to be anything other than how you are.
they help with the little things. water. food. rest. gently, no big deal.
you’re not too much for them to handle. you’re just someone they love who needs a little extra care right now.
celebrating f/o's birthday when they suddenly get very quiet and tell you that they really appreciate you, and that this is the best thing anyone's ever done for them (you're the best thing to have ever happened to them)
I'm lucky and unbelievably grateful that my parents paid attention to what I wanted and like, and bought me the Conquest shirt from any means necessary as a birthday present, but I also wish I could have him as a plushie among other things.
And if I could afford to spend money on everything Conquest, I absolutely would.
