Going into this third week was hard. My incision site stings a bit and my back muscles hurt from holding The Trilogy. I wear her when I can, but it still messes with my back. I cannot wait to see my chiropractor againā¦whenever that is.
And to top all that off, my county extended its stay home order through May 10th.

āIām seventeen. Ā Iām doing my best to convince myself that weāre all beautiful in our own way, but itās not so easy. Ā I look at all the pretty things my friends have: their bodies, their lips, how they wear their hair, or their make-up, even their personalities. Ā Some have such pretty personalities. Ā I wish I could be one of those people who laugh and talk for hours without stopping. Ā Instead I just hide in the back of class and try not to draw attention to myself. Ā I wear baggy clothes. Ā Anything not to be noticed. Ā But Iām trying to change. Ā Iām trying to get out of my comfort zone. Ā Iām searching for plus-sized models online. Ā Women who are bigger, but still confident and beautiful. Ā Iām wearing less black. Ā I never used to wear colors because they emphasize your curves. Ā But now Iām wearing colors. Ā I even wore a dress recently. Ā Not to school, of course, but to dinner with my grandparents. Ā It was blue and had white flowers. Ā My dream is to eventually go to the beach. Ā The water was such an important part of my childhood. Ā My grandparents had a little beach house and weād go every summer. Ā But I havenāt been to a beach in over five years. Ā Well, I did go once. Ā But I sat on the shore, and watched everyoneās stuff, and took their photos for Instagram. Ā Next time Iād like to actually go in the water. Ā Wearing a swimsuit. Ā If I can do that, and have the time of my life, and feel that Iām allowed to show myself, my insides and my outsidesāthen Iāll know Iām finally where I want to be.ā (Amsterdam, The Netherlands)
