troian bellisario for the laterals
time for the weekly “pll ended like a year ago but kayson is still an idiot” post
was that actually supposed to be snow?
The end of pll has a lot of things that really bother me, but my biggest problem with it (not just the finale, really the whole time jump) is that it just doesn’t reflect the rest of the show. I get wanting to change things up a bit, but I think they just took it too far. Most characters act out at least a little out of character. It’s not like they’re more mature, they still act like they’re in high school, they’re just off. And honestly less likeable. Ignoring all the plot holes, my main problem with Twincer is that it made the show too much about Spencer. The other three were barely involved in the mystery. Spencer is one of four protagonists, but you’d think she was the only one by watching the last episode. The whole thing just doesn’t match up with the previous six seasons.
Agreed! Aria, Hanna, and Emily were relegated to secondary characters in the finale. Their last storyline ever was basically sitting around worrying about Ezra. It was ridiculous. Spencer is my favorite Liar and I thought Troian did a great job, but I hated how the finale and the final A reveal were all about her and only her.
A horse had a bigger role than all three of them combined. They could’ve at least figured out it wasn’t really Spencer by themselves.
Seriously, the whole message at the end of the show was “look these girls are BFFs forever they know each other so well” and yet none of them had any clue that Spencer wasn’t actually Spencer?! I would have loved to see them realizing that something wasn’t right and figuring out what it was in more than thirty seconds, but I guess that would have taken time away from the entire first hour of sex and shipping and we can’t have that!
I think this discussion puts it perfectly, the PLL finale felt incredibly disjointed from the rest of the series. Whether we’re talking about the overall plot, the reveal, or the character development. There was too much focus on providing closure for the romantic relationships compared to the friendship between the girls, which honestly should have been emphasized ALL across season 7. And given the context of the episode, the last scene they shared together lacked sincerity, even with the actresses expressing genuine emotion.

Who else is genuinely excited to see what kind of trolling Marlene King will give us with the Perfectionists?
I hope it has 7 seasons and the answer is also going to be revealed in the last one, having absolutely nothing to do with the first one.
I am not being sarcastic, I seriously miss the pll fuckery.

Can we talk about Rosewood High’s terrible choices regarding teaching staff?
You got Emily over here overstepping professional boundaries and blackmailing a student, Alison crazy ass is grabbing somebody’s child like she done lost her mind, and Jenna calling her all types of bitches out in the open with witnesses lmao 😂 they be wildin’
When ur sister doesn’t invite you to the wedding
SHE LITERALLY HAD THE ANSWERS IN HER TWITTER BIO THIS WHOLE DAMN TIME IM FUCKING DEAD
So wait, let me get this straight:
Following the most predictable pll episode EVER, we find that a) Spencer’s twin is terrible and evil, b) Toby has been raped yet again, c) all of the spoby scene THE ENTIRE SEASON are basically irrelevant.
Was I supposed to enjoy this?
So, we were led to believe for *years* that the girls were being punished for something that happened that night. YEARS.
So you’re telling me that Alex loved Charlotte but did not make sure she hurt Mona personally when she knew Mona killed Charlotte??
