𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 continued to sip from the cup in her hand despite the contents of her cup getting low and knowing she was in need for a refill. “Lemme paint a scenario for you. You get home from a long ass of working full of nonstop shit to do. When you finally get home, what you tryna do? Slave over the stove and cook yourself some food or open that DoorDash app and have whatever you want delivered in a half hour?” She posed the rhetorical question to him. “That’s why ain’t nobody cooking. Plus, cooking a home-cooked meal for everyone in this house? Thanksgiving on steroids.” She commented truthfully as she began to pile her plate with an assortment of foods despite saying that she was only going for one or two items. “That’s precisely why I️ aint chefin’ it up. One thing about me? I’ma burn the house down every time.” She laughed. “I️ hope you know who to whip somethin’ up talking about why there ain’t no home-cooked meals.” She challenged playfully.
secretly hoping that no one who take notice of the water balloons, 𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 lets out an exaggerated huff once she spots the femme make her way towards them. “i really wish people would people would send out an itinerary for the night with the event.” she playfully complained with a small laugh. “’cause if i knew a water balloon war was in the plans, i would’ve came in my bikini and not spent a hour tryna make sure this wig was perfectly glued down.”
hearing the male’s voice as she surveyed all the food in front of her with a drink in hand, 𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 shrugged her shoulders simply in response to his question before speaking. “i’m not too sure, but if anybody tells you it was cooked up in here — they’re definitely lying. i swear a stove hasn’t been turned on since we all moved in. if you ever plan on cooking, check the burners... there might be some cobwebs.” she chuckled softly as she leaned over to grab a plate and stepping closer to the food on display. “i really want some catfish, but i’m picky about my seafood. i might just play it safe and get some elote, though. you got your eye on anything?”
After so many episodes of Girlfriends that she lost count and her new ailment of insomnia, it wasn’t long before 𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 found herself opening up her Instagram app and going lives in hopes of entertaining herself until she eventually grew tired. The time on her phone read 2:17AM, so she was more than surprised to see that tens of thousands of people were entering her live and the number continued to steadily grow. “Why are some of y’all up right now?” She asked with a suspicious eyebrow raised. “I know it’s past some of y’all bedtimes, but since we’re all here — I️ know y’all nosy asses having been dying to ask me some questions, so I’ma let y’all have at it. Just don’t get outta line.” She warned, pointing her manicured index finger at the camera as she awaited the comments to flood with questions.

As extroverted as 𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 could be when when it came to her career, the femme was actually pretty introverted when it came to anything outside of that. Signing up to perform at tonight’s Lip Sync Battle seemed like a good idea in retrospect, but the nerves in her stomach told her that if she didn’t move fast enough, she’d talk herself out of the whole ordeal altogether.

Being the first performer of the night was already nerve-wracking enough, but the female put on a brave face regardless as Ginuwine’s ‘Pony’ surged through the auditorium. Though she wasn’t much of a dancer, 𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 flowed through her performance effortlessly and managed to remember all her moves as well as the words to the song. Talk about some fucking multitasking.

When the moment in her dance break called for her to give someone in particular a personal lap dance, the young woman caught the eyes of a random audience member before beckoning them on stage. Once they were seated in the chair behind her, she wasted but a moment in positioning herself on their lap and continuing her performance for all eyes to see.

Some of 𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 worse traits came to the surface whenever she was upset or felt slighted. She could be malicious and outright hurtful with her mouth if she was bought to a place to do so. Truthfully, before the two separate situations transpired, the couple had rarely ever gotten into an argument. Now they were seeing complete different opposite sides of each other then what they were used to. Needless to say, the honeymoon period was officially over. “Why is it so hard for you to comprehend the fact that I️ didn’t do that shit because of you, Malik?! I️ did it because of ME. Because I️ wanted to! I️ wanted to be selfish and do what I️ wanted without worrying about anyone else. If I️ truly wanted to be vindictive, I️ would have done worse in that club and leaked photos and videos intentionally for the world to see.” The female stated matter-of-factly. “Just because you didn’t intend do something doesn’t mean it magically fucking cancels out what you did. I️ really try to give your ass the benefit of the doubt, but were you THAT dumb to think that it wasn’t inappropriate as fuck for you to be doing drugs behind my back with your ex? Did you actually think that shit wouldn’t have hurt me? Your apologies don’t mean shit to me because you still don’t get it.” 𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 was growing more and more frustrated with the conversation the longer they both kept talking. They did nothing but talk in circles and continue to escalate the situation out of its proportions. She was ready to walk out of her room if he wasn’t going to do it first. There’s an aggravated sigh that falls past her lips once 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐊 directs the specific question at her that she was waiting to hear from the moment he walked in. “Malik, you know me well enough to know the answer to that. If my only reason for doing what I️ did was to get you mad, I️ would’ve threw my ass on anybody at that party that night. You want me say some shit out loud to you so you can justify putting me on your hit list next like you did Jonah?”
𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 knew it was only a matter of time for the explosive reaction came spiraling out of 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐊. She allowed him to say what he wanted about her and the situation that transpired in peace, but she couldn’t help but feel slightly angered at by the demeaning words he was spewing at her. If the pair didn’t know how to do anything else, they knew how to antagonize each other much to their detriment. “I️ think you’re misinterpreting what I️’m saying.” The young woman held up her manicured index finger in response. “I️ said I didn’t mean to marry him. Baby, I️ had all intentions of going there that night and kissing up on him — down to the outfit I️ wore. You wanna see it?” She challenged simply to provoke him, having no real intentions on showing him pictures from that night or ones that came after. She disregarded his apology before continuing on. “I️ was just taking a page out of your book. Doing what the fuck I️ wanted when I️ wanted to and worrying about about the repercussions later. It’s kinda fun. I️ see why you do it.” There’s an amused smirk that plays on her features as she peers over at him. “It’s almost as if it’s just as disrespectful and embarrassing as having to find out you were sniffling lines with your ex on national television, huh?” She tilted her head as she peered over at him, gauging his reaction to her statement. She keeps her eyes on him as his taller figure towers over her as he proceeds to vaguely threaten her. “I️ know you’re used to niggas cowering at your feet and falling in line because of who you are, but you know better to know that I️ am not one of them. You don’t scare me, Malik.” She reaches up to touch the side of his face as she makes it a point to lock eyes with him for a moment before speaking. “It was worth it. So much so that I’d probably do it again.”
𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 expected the uncomfortable silence that sat between them from the moment the male walked through her doorway. It was the sole reason why she avoided the conversation for as long as she did. Her immediate response was to be defensive, knowing that 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐊 had already more than made up his mind about what happened between her and Jonah by the way he was reacting on social media. However, she chooses a different route of communication and chooses to calmly explain herself instead. “All I️ really need to say is the truth. The whole marriage fiasco between Jonah and I️ wasn’t supposed to happen. I️ didn’t randomly wake up that morning and decide to spite by getting ‘married behind your back. We were drunk when we left his party and well... shit just happened. It was a mistake and we’re currently in the process of getting it annulled.” She paused briefly, trying to get her words together before continuing. “I️ wanna tell you that when I️ woke up the next morning, I️ regretted it but I️ would be lying if I️ did. Weirdly enough, the shit felt kind of liberating... I️ didn’t want you to find out like you did, though. I️ apologize for not coming to you about it sooner.”
𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒’ phone didn’t seem to stop pinging from notifications — both from people she knew and those who just wanted her reaction to the controversy that erupted before she could even open her eyes this morning. She doesn’t think twice before turning off the cellular device completely and throwing it towards the other end of her bed. There’s an immediate roll of her eyes the minute she hears a loud knock at her bedroom door. The last thing she wanted to was entertain anybody today, but she still made her way to the door to open it anyway. Her brow raises immediately at the person standing on the other side of the door frame. “You could’ve told me you were popping up.” She speaks to the male, not really sure of what else to say. She exhales slowly before stepping aside and allowing him entrance into her room. “I️ haven’t seen you in days.” She watches 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐊 closely, unsure of anything he was about to say or do.
