@arieldevorak
remember when you were a kid and whenever your parents came into the room while you were doing something for pleasure like looking at something on the computer or watching tv and you’d immediately close the thing like you’d just been caught watching porn when you were actually doing nothing wrong this post was made by strict parents with no boundaries gang
my dad: walks into the room while i’m playing club penguin the family computer
me:
I still have these habits
Where are all the coronavirus!AU fanfics, people? Where are all the "there's only one bed we're stuck in quarantine together for two weeks" fanfics and headcanons??

*reblogs an accurate astrology post one time* astrology is my passion
There are a number of students in my GCSE class that have behavioural issues and if they feel uncomfortable they can do anything from storm out of the classroom to throwing chairs and punching their tables. They’re great kids, they just dont always see the light at the end of the tunnel and when they are in stressful situations they dont know what to do other than lash out sometimes. They are 10 months away from their final exams and the pressure is being mounted on them in every aspect of their school lives.
Last week one of the students saw me making little origami stars. Its something I do when I’m feeling anxious to help me focus on something else. He asked if I could show him how to make them. He had been clenching his fists all lesson, which I’ve noticed is a tell that he is struggling to retain composure. I gave him a strip of paper and talked it through with him. Soon half of the class were asking me to show them. They all picked it up really quickly.
After about five minutes and about 8 stars later, the student sat back down and was in a much calmer and motivated mood for the rest of the lesson. Our next lesson I placed a box of paper strips on my desk and when I saw anyone getting worked up about their work I silently placed a strip in front of them and let them get on with it. The lesson after I was amazed to see that students would go up to the box of their own accord, pick up a few strips and head back to their desks to continue working after calming down.
Yesterday I brought a large jar into the classroom and placed my anxiety stars in there. The boys put their strsss stars in there too. When they fill the jar I’m going to bring sweets into the lesson to celebrate them working hard and working through their problems in a positive manner. I know I’m not the teacher they deserve just yet but I feel like I’ve made a big breakthrough with them.
art therapy is important.
You are exactly the teacher they need. It’s a brilliant idea and im so glad it works for them.
Op, post a tutorial?
OP, from the bottom of my heart, believe me. You are the teacher they need and deserve. I have tears in my eyes just imagining this.
Thank you. Thank you for being one of the good ones.
Pride and Prejudice (personal project) by Airi Pan
Hngngngg I know I haven’t posted anything in a while, but I’m working on some….stuff I promise! Here’s a small preview in the meantime 👀
Schools aren't closed so you can let your kids wander the local shops like roving germ hordes, infecting those of us who have to keep working!
Y'all are okay with hoarding all our dry goods and toilet paper, coming into the store multiple times a day so you can bypass our one (1) paper product per person rule (yes, we see you, and we do think you're scum), and actually giving us a shortage issue, but GOD FORBID you actually take the steps to combat this virus and keep it from spreading.
STAY AT HOME. KEEP THE SPAWN AT HOME. STOP HOARDING AND WASH YOUR DAMN HANDS.
And for the love of all that is good, STOP COUGHING ON THE EMPLOYEES! That's disgusting.
Good news amidst all this chaos
not to be nsfw but the thought of someone smiling against my lips as we kiss? really makes a bitch’s heart flutter
a woman: hi, how are you?
a man: hm. see I wouldn’t have phrased it exactly like that. I might have said “hello” or perhaps “salutations.” but the way you said it is cute though.
You are aware this is just as sexist as the things people say about women, correct?
a woman: you ever notice men speak to women like we are beneath them and constantly police our language and appearance?
a man: hm. i know you, poor thing, are blissfully unaware of the difficulty that text posts put us (men, or “males,” depending on the colloquial) through. let me explain in the follow paragraph how we can effectively ignore institutionalized and global sexism because this post personally called me, a man, out for my degrading behavior. see, this sort of witty and harmless observation is sexist,
The Perfect Explanation of Privilege – In One Powerful Punchline
“The Pencilsword” is a comic strip by Toby Morris, an illustrator from New Zealand. His most recent comic, “On a Plate” hits hard at the heart of the issues of concerning wealth and privilege.
How many times have you heard the “I’ve never been handed anything on a platter” argument in regard to social security and other social benefits?
Toby wrecks this argument by showing how two children can grow up, be loved and supported, and yet still have two very different outcomes.
Make sure to follow all the way to the end for the powerful punchline. This comic is an increasingly sad reality for far too many of this nation’s children and families.
Reblogged from the source since someone deleted the text at the bottom.
this is so amazing
Not gonna lie this got me a bit emotional.
Me too!!! Fuck those royal assholes!
People keep asking why Harry and Meghan left as if this didn’t happen, as if Harry didn’t (and still does) blame the press for Diana’s death in the first place, and as if the press hasn’t been racist and nasty toward Meghan since the second it came out that they were together.
“I will not be bullied into playing a game that killed my mum.” That’s what Harry said.
They’ve made it pretty fucking clear I think why they’re leaving and I don’t blame them one bit.
I’m proud of him for Standing up for her
the tea is scorching hot today!!
Shipping real people will never be cute, it’s gross and creepy. Stop.

thank you I am going to use this in every single abortion argument forever
