๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ , demonstrating yet again that he was neither . if these were his final moments , however brief the stay , he would have no more regrets about a life well lived . right now , he had no time for death . granted , things were tough , no question about that , but he had a knack for conquering the inescapable .
THEY WOULD NOT SILENCE HIM SO EASILY ... not while he was still alive and kicking . for the time being , he could still breathe , which was the most dangerous aspect , albeit not for him . while he still twitched , no one was truly safe , the unpredictability a key in the aliens murderous games . nonetheless , in times of great need , he was able to calm the instincts that thrived so vividly in his cruel mind . the brief glimmer of hope appeared in lost eyes , dimming just as quickly as it had begun before relighting behind his tired lids .
tensions rose alarmingly in the cramped room ... or perhaps it was just him fading in and out of consciousness . CAGED AND FORGOTTEN LIKE COMMON ANIMALS , they fall victim to the very creatin he hoped to enslave someday . a lifetime of memories ( as brief as they were for the clone ) flashed before his eyes , the back of his head bouncing violently against the cold metal panelling behind him as he struggled to control his escalating anger .
โ see something you like , sweet cheeks ? โ he enquired , almost flirting condescendingly . wide eyed , it felt as if something had sparked inside the other , delivering his own second wind almost magically . along with it comes a new lease of life as he regains his footing ; however , that's just about as far as he gets before leaving a master to go about his craft . on the rare occasion , the alien is forced to remain silent , patiently watching on as the man surveys the room .
โ WHAT MORE DO I HAVE TO LOSE ? โ accepting the offer without ever confirming his decision . with that , the alien paces casually over to his acquaintance , and without a word or nod of approval , he mounts the man's back , boots clambering to get a hold as he struggles to find a grip . โ when we get out of here , you want to help me kill the ones that locked us in here ? โ asked so casually it seemed like a regular occurrence .
he reaches the peak , balancing precariously on the shoulders of the other as slender fingers attempt to pluck the venting from it's moorings . it was a struggle , but the metal eventually came loose , tossing it down to the floor . โ if my ass gets stuck in here , i'm haunting your dreams . โ before climbing up the vent system , he spewed words without emotion , making it unclear whether he was joking or serious . โ i hate this .... i hate this so much . โ he groans ; for such an advanced race , confined space proved to be the creatures downfall .
he took a deep inhale and then an even deeper exhale , culling his frayed nerves as he searched for an exit . all the routes appear to be nearly identical until he notices a fleck of light protruding through the steel bars Infront of him . the alien shimmies his way through the narrowed vent , intensifying his efforts to escape this nightmare . he punches the metal once , then twice , and then a third time as it falls to the floor , uncaring for who or what was on the other side .
he drops down , collects himself , and brushes the dust and cobwebs from his spacesuit before even thinking about where he is . the helm eventually tilts upwards , revealing a promising sight : standing in front of multiple screens that depict nearly every corner of the compound . taking his time , he clambers into the chair at the desk , lost in the pictures and the number of men scattered throughout the building . confidence dwindles at the sight ; whoever these people were , they were far more co-ordinated than he had anticipated .
a red button buzzes and illuminates before him , causing his concentration to shift . he looks at it for a moment before moving on to the screens , hoping to find a hint in the interruption . before anything else , a foreign sounding , crackly voice echoes throughout the room , and his eyes narrow as he decides on a witty response before thinking better . he presses the button , and the voice ceases while his cover remains . pushing away from the desk , the creature returns to the opening , clearing his throat in the hopes that the other will hear him . โ CAN YOU SEE A RED BUTTON ? i think that's our escape ! push it ! โ
