Hands down, no question whatsoever, zero hesitation - November 19, 2012. Never before and until they finally come out as a couple, never again.
We heard spoilers that G/lee would be filming a skating scene in NYC and we all assumed it’d be Finch/el. Well blow our minds and hearts - it was KL/AINE! C and D showed up, Mike O showed up - the fans descended on the skating rink (bless their hearts they braved the cold to keep the rest of the world updated on every single moment) and the rest is history. TWELVE HOURS. What I wouldn’t give to go back. I was on the phone with @innocentzinnia the entire day and into the night. Some highlights:
-Chris couldn’t skate at all and as he practiced, Darren skated next to him, side by side to help him.
-Chris was FREEZING - Darren would rub his back to warm him, and at one point he put his arm around him and guided him to the heating tent/building.
-the GOOFING AROUND. They kept dancing and jumping and trying to spin and they’d mimic each other
-the moment everyone was on their skates just talking and Chris was flailing around and almost fell and only DARREN saw him and put his arm out to catch him?
-Darren would never let Chris fall
-when Darren got down on the ice, laid on his back and took photos of Chris’ ass, then Chris noticed, turned around and posed for him?
-The fact that CHRIS TWEETED A CC PHOTO
-Can’t forget that this was Chris’ favorite G/lee filming memory
There’s a long post that Katie made about that day - she was there. She told so many wonderful stories about what she and her spouse observed. Including the boys holding hands on the railing, giggling together, etc. I wish I could find it. Anyway, I’ve hijacked Mev’s post long enough…lemme end with Chris’ own words
