This is an indie, heavily headcanon based, canon divergent/AU, Leon S. Kennedy rp blog. I take heavy liberties with canon and twist them and play around as I see fit. 

Resident Evil has w a a y too many games and I’ve played maybe 4 of them. I know the basic plot elements, but a lot of the main story stuff escapes me because there’s a lot going on and I really only care about one-day-cop-turned-US-agent. Therefore, I’ve mostly only played 2, 4, 5, & everyone’s fave 6 l o l. I know most of 7 & a small bit of 8, and most of Requiem. 

I read up on the wiki and then toss what I don’t care for and change what I do like. I think they don’t play with government corruption enough, or the fact that corporations control our government.

Triggers will be tagged. Due to the nature of Resident Evil, you will find body horror, mentions of death, murder, mental health issues etc. etc.

NSFW may occur as mun and muse are of age.

A FEW LEON DEETS:

My Leon is Puerto Rican!! He’s Latino! This is very important to me, thank you.

He’s not an alcoholic, though he’s skirted the line of Having a Problem and therefore doesn’t really play with fire much anymore.

He’s the Deputy Director of the DSO and from 2017 onward doesn’t go on nearly as many assignments anymore. He’s a combat instructor, oversees a lot of DSO projects, liaisons with other organizations, and when needed will take important missions requiring his skills and expertise.

I don’t really care for ada/leon. I find their dynamic interesting, but overall I don’t find Leon’s single-minded attraction to her all that cute as written in games. I will still write them as having that kind of flirty relationship, and that Leon does feel a connection with her, but for the most part this would have to be heavily plotted out as it’s not my top ship at all.

HISTORY

TRIGGER WARNINGS FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, CHILD ABUSE, DRUG ABUSE, AND ALCOHOL ABUSE.

Leon S. Kennedy was the only son born of Angel and Valencia Kennedy. Angel was a in a crime ring and Valencia worked at a cleaners. Angel was a bastard who beat on his wife and son due to his rampant alcoholism. Valencia tried to stand up for herself and protect Leon, but as time went on she was worn down by everything. 

Angel had aspirations of becoming the head of Los Cuervos Blancos, a latin crime ring that had a stronghold in NYC. He moved up in the ranks, and with more power, became worse with his money habits and drinking. Eventually, he made a mistake. Rivals to the cime ring broke into their apartment and killed both Angel and Valencia in front of Leon–who hid in a closet. If not for the cops, he would have died. He ended up in the foster system and aged out.

Leon was an angry kid, angry at his parents, at himself, at everything. He acted out a lot, hanged with the wrong people, and often didn't listen to his foster families. It was the combination of his fourth home and one of his high school teachers that put him on the right track. Though the last family didn't adopt him, George and Mallory Richardson remained close until their deaths of old age just before he graduated from the police academy.

He graduated from a community college with an associates degree in criminal justice and then attended the police academy. He had high marks in everything from his marksmanship to his tests, and there were high hopes for his future.

Leon is immune to the T-Virus. He will experience a strong immune response if he comes into contact with its variants, but he will not become infected.

His DNA was mutated by Las Plagas and the government (and unknown to him, The Family) tested on him in the name of "homeland security".

Leon was conscripted into STRATCOM. This was not voluntary, and he has to do more than a few things he’s not proud of for the government-- specifically The Family.

Such as keeping certain things quiet– and that could just be withholding information that he has about the government’s involvement in bioweapon development.

He doesn’t like doing this, so when he can, he does give out information to people he trusts. If he has to do all of this, he might as well be of use somehow.

Things become a lot better after the DSO is formed, and then after Adam Benford’s assassination, it gets worse.
