ngl i love the fact that kirishima was lowkey inspired by mina when it comes to becoming a hero (or like taking charge). i just feel like so often in media everything has to be the girl looking up to the guy and then aspiring to be like him and then they forget to give her like... any other traits and its so bad. but with mina and kirishima they established the both of them and then explained what they mean to each other and how they inspire/inspired each other in different ways

The focus of Naruto should've been his relationship with the Konoha 12, not Sasuke

Hot take, I know. Only very briefly did Naruto sit back and be like, “whoa, I thought Sasuke was my only friend, but I acutally have other friends who care about me" but it wasn't enough, and not enough of a central theme.

No one who went on the Sasuke retrieval mission cared about Sasuke the way Naruto and Sakura did. You mean to tell me these four 13-14 year old boys risked their life for YOUR friend Naruto, for you to put them in situations to have to do it again years later? Naruto did not learn the value of a chosen family (and still hasn't from what I've learned from Boruto). Even the notion that "Shikamaru is his only true friend" isn't true when you look at it this way. I would have probably much more enjoyed the show if Sasuke just became a villian and Naruto gave up on him and Shippuden was about his relationship with the rest of the village, and if Sasuke "came back", it being of his own volition instead of Naruto making him come to his sense - it's more realistic to real life in that Naruto grows more cognizant of the world around him and Sasuke explores the world and makes decisions on his own. This way the OG Konoha 12 could've had more character development instead of relying on subplots and addition of a whole new cast every arc.

Why did this have to be the anime that came out while I was in middle school and stick with me into adulthood? Why couldn't it have been a better written one or one without such memorable characters LOL

Forget Shikamaru, Naruto and Kiba have the biggest bro energy out of all the friendship, why didn't Kishi give us more of the bro friendship we deserve?

Because Kishi only has the capacity to write 3-4 good characters in one plot at one time, reason why Kiba was once written okay, and then forgotten about like half of the cast.

Ugh, Boruto has made Kiba into such a joke...

I hate that his character has been reduced to "I wanted to be Hokage" like it was funny once, now it's just the laziest writing all over.

Also..as an adult he should've got a shaggy wolf cut 🤤 ..I love him so bad its actually a problem and he should've gotten way more training with Kakashi cuz of the dog technique and I wish it was expanded on more.

My favorite characters in Naruto either have little fanart or they just aren't that relevant in the anime 😮‍💨 (..Hidan and Kiba, I love those two.)
