An additional 24 Foxhound vehicles have been bought for the British Army in a new £23 million contract. Designed and built in the UK by General Dynamics Land Systems: Force Protection Europe, Foxhound first deployed to Afghanistan in 2012. Foxhound represents leading technology. Agile enough to reach a top speed of 70mph, the armoured vehicles have a V-shaped hull providing unparalleled protection against a range of threats for their weight and class. Since 2010, the MoD has invested £371 million in Foxhound and the latest order will take the Army’s total fleet to 400 vehicles. Image Crown copyright
